Touching Lives
I have been her over 5 years. Friends have came and gone. It always bothers me when friends remove me but, it hurts worse when they ignore me.
Some here, have told me that I have saved their lives, on more than one occasion. I have counseled with some here, led some to Christ, sent prayers and messages of encouragement to others.
I have never been judgmental of anyone here, whether they were believers or not. Social status has never influenced my friendship or my concern for others.
I realize, that a "biker Preacher" like I have been called at times, that I may not fit the mold of what society envisions as a Preacher. 6 days a week, I wear jeans and t-shirts. Sundays, I wear a suit but, I live the Christian life, 7 days a week. A man said to me today, "don't you ever say anything bad about anybody"? He said "I've heard you say many times "he's a good old boy or she's a nice woman". "I have never heard you say anything bad about someone".
I have tried to be a compassionate, kind and understanding friend and member here on DS. I hope that is the way people see me and those that truly know the "real me".
If they do, then maybe I have touched their hearts and lives and, my being here, has not been in vain.

sorry my friend, I am not on as much as I wld like. Hubby is in bad shape. But you are the best of the best. I am glad that you are my friend.
you are a great friend. I just don\'t come on here anymore. Something tells me that the other person I used to communicate on here with has left this earth. I used to here from them daily, then it was weekly, then monthly, now I havent heard from them since June. I don\'t know what to do. I have 10 friends left on this site and I here only from you at times. I just log on once a week to see if anyone has left me a message and most times noone has. It\'s kinda depressing and not the best thing for me. I\'m having a real hard time this month. Can\'t get in the Christmas spirit. Could care less if it happens. Some of it is because I\'m missing my dad, it will be 2 years the 30th. Some might be because the kids have given up on Santa (with the youngest 13 its time has come). I\'m just counting my days left at work for the year and looking forward to some down time. I hope all is well with you and yours. Merry Christmas
