Totally Stressed

I cannot tell you how unhappy I am with this job I have.  Too much to go into but I am in the process of looking for another part-time job.  Much too much stress.  I jumped at this because the money was good for a part-time job.  I had a bad feeling for it from the begining.  The only thing good about it was that it allowed me to catch up on some bills.  Not the medical.  I am just letting those go.  Like Michelle I may file bankrupcy.  Right now if I can pay the mortgage and utilities and not be so stressed, I will be happy.  Having had cancer is enough stress for anyone to handle.  I will let you all know what I come up with. The other thing is, I cancelled my plans to NJ.  It just seems to be a bad time for everyone involved.  The ticket is on hold and I can use it anytime within a year.  There probably would be penalties to pay.  But oh well.  I just can't go now. Well that is about it for now.  I will keep you updated. Anita

Hi Anita! Sorry you are unhappy with your job. Life is too short to be unhappy with a stressful job! My goal someday job-wise is to water flowers at a garden center with NO STRESS! I know what you mean about the med bills, I\'m overwhelmed with them right now myself. Just paying what I can. Since you can\'t go to NJ now, just have a little \"staycation\" in your area, go somewhere close-by you haven\'t seen. Hope you can make a job-change soon, you don\'t need the stress! Take care~ {Hugs} Leslie

I\'m sorry the job hasn\'t worked out for you and hope so much that you find something better.. It seems to be one of those times when lots of people are going through very stressful and difficult issues.. I think an astrologer might have some answers as to why, because it\'s uncanny how these things seem to rain down like this. Please be careful with yourself. Stress is what we need to be avoiding as we all know. Have you packed the lousy job in..? I don\'t understand the American system, but here we can get a sick note from our doctor, to get some time off work when ill or over stressed.. The employer pays a percentage of your wage for up to six months. I don\'t want you going to a place of work that stresses you out.. not after what you have been through and are recovering from still..

Life is such an emotional roller-coaster just now.. but we will get through this one.. as we have so many before.. I\'m right with you on the same ride.. Huge loving hug xxx

the best thing about your situation is that you recognize that things aren\'t working for you and you are taking control to make sure your health stays the number 1 priority. i know you\'ll find the job that\'s right for you. have you tried looking on craigslist? there\'s another website called simplyhired.com...you of course have to be careful with the \"weird to good to be true postings\", but a lot of employers post there as a cheap resource for finding employees. my thoughts are with you...

Yes, I have been on Craig\'s list. I have not tried the other. I have been looking also on The Woodlans online. Jobs that would be close by. I thank you all for your support. It brought tears to my eyes.

No I have not given notice yet Inka. I want to have another job line up first. Sometimes when you give your two week notice, they just tell you to go ahead and leave. We don\'t have a system like yours. We have unemployment which I had been collecting till it ran out. Now I cannot collect on this job since it was part-time and not paying into Unemployment insurance.

It sounds like you are playing your cards right anitaama...............it is so sad that the workworld is so callused like that.............I just read about the 200,000 jobs lost in our local paper today............to think 200,000 people are now out of work is not acceptable!!!!!

Dear Anita
I am sorry the job turned out to be very unsatisfactory . You are doing the right thing ....taking a deep breath , getting through the job and looking for a better one . I wish and pray something turns up soon for you . OC alone is stressful , combine that with job stress and financial worries and you have a minefield to negotiate . My heart goes out to you ! Something good will turn up soon ! It got to ! you deserve it !
Loads of hugs ................Monica

Oh my, that is such a sad update, Anita! I was hoping the New Jersey trip would bring you lots of smiles. Oh, well, like you say, the airline ticket can be used another time.
I could go back to my old job if I survive this chemo, but you know what, I know that the stress would just put me back at square one with all of this!
There was an entire front page article today in our sunday paper about people not being able to get disability. It was amazing...many of the people they followed actually died before being granted the money. What is wrong with this world that we don\'t have the empathy for those who need help!!!!? Oh, it just gets me sooo angry. Like having cancer isn\'t a bad enough problem.
Maybe you can find something that doesn\'t require too much stress...and I wonder, what kind of safety net they have in Texas for those you cannot afford to pay utilities, etc.?
Thinking of you!!! hugs, lindamae

I understand exactly how you feel. It is really a nightmare trying to be happy at a job and when you\'re not it because totally stressful. I\'ll pray that everything work out and you can find a job that is even better. Sometimes god puts in positionts that we don\'t want to be in, to bring us something better. (sorry for my english not so good).
