totally pissed off
Well it took me a while to decide if GBS was for me but on October 27th I did it.The op went fine, they didn't have to open me up, just make a few small slits in my belly.Great, good start.I stayed in the hospital an extra day because the pain wasn't under control.Got home Thursday.Friday back in the hospital with suspected blood clot. Given the all clear.Legs swollen like balloons and going numb but they said that was just fluid from the IV's moving about.Home again.Tuesday agonizing pain.I honestly thought my insicions had given way.Back to Hospital for a CT scan.It seems I have either fluid or dried blood trapped in my fat layer near an insicion.Seems my fat hates me as much as I hate it.Now I have to wait untill my body clears this away in it's own good time. So I'm almost 2 weeks post op and I weighed myself this morning.I've lost 3 pounds. THREE BLOODY SODDING POUNDS!Are we having fun yet?

Dear sounds like you had a LOT of water gain after surgery from the IV\'s. I gained 20 lbs during that time. I had to lose that before I could actually see a weight lose. Hang in there you ARE losing and you are doing GREAT!!!!!!
Hugs Kim
I agree with Kim. Sorry you are feeling bad right now, but this WILL clear up. Try to move around a bit if you can to help get the fluids moving out. Read a good book and watch some movies to distract yourself. Thiss WILL pass and you will soon be feeling great!
Hi gerry, everyone is right, you will lose, you have had a rough time, sent you a hug lotsa love Andrea xx
Gerry, sweetie deep breath....you will be fine. Sometimes you have to take it slow you did just have a major surgery. Me I had to learn this the hard way with the hernia, alot more difficult to recover than i anticipated....Just take it easy and you\'ll be losing in no time at all!
Aw Gerry sorry you had such a bad time, i really hope things are getting better now, im struggling a bit with eating and drinking but on the whole not to bad, hang on in there things can only get better love Jan xx
