Tooth Pain
My jaw hurts from where the tooth used to be. At first, they packed my mouth so full of gauze that I couldn't talk. I had to change it a bunch of times, and I used less then. I would have run out otherwise. Overall, the pulling of the tooth was pretty easy (albeit painful). She popped off the top of the tooth where it was broken, and then dug around in my gums for the roots. It was a good way to deal with how the roots of my tooth were clenched around my jaw. Now I just need to eat liquids and soft, blended food until tomorrow, when I can start working my way up to normal food again. Tomorrow they are also having a luncheon for the volunteers, so hopefully there will be food I can eat there. I don't know what's going to be on the menu. All I know is that my boss really wants me to go, so I'm going to go. I saw him this morning as I was waiting to get my tooth pulled and he gave me the rest of the day off.
I could have gone back to work around 3:30 when I was feeling better, but it would have been pointless. By the time they would have gotten work for me it would have been time for me to leave. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the luncheon, and then go to HR. I got a call from HR saying that I was looking at a position but I didn't have the necessary qualifications for the job. I think I've picked up enough in the time that I've been working there that I can do it. I have to talk to my boss too, to see if he thinks I can do it. It's not a problem of if I can do the work, because I learn fast and I can do a ton of stuff, it's more of if the hours are right for me. I can do stuff in the late morning to 5pm (or later), but I can't do something at 8am. I tried waking up at 8:15 this morning and when I was waiting for them to call me for my tooth, I was getting really dizzy and hallucinating like crazy. When they took my blood pressure, it was 88/62 which is pretty low. When I wake up in the morning I'm more of 100/70. But I came home and slept and felt better.
I just walked to the clinic and back today. I thought about going swimming when I woke up at 2, but I still wasn't feeling well, so I slept for some more. At least I got some exercise done. Tomorrow I'm going to need to try and go for a walk after work. Well, after my doctor's appointment anyway. I see the good doctor tomorrow at 3:30, so I'm going to just stay at the clinic until it's time for my appointment. I don't think he's going to change any of my meds since I'm doing pretty well on them. I know when the death of my Nana hits me I'm going to be depressed, but that's regular depression. Regular depression is something that would make anyone depressed, like the death of a loved one. But other than that, my mood swings have been okay, my hallucinations are there, but when aren't they lol, and I haven't been too down.
Mood today was good despite the pain. Geo is still sick and he wasn't in that good of a mood today, but I'm trying to not let that get in my way. Oh, and my stepdad on Sunday had some signs of a stroke, but he's refusing to go to the doctor. I didn't sleep well last night because of that. I kept waking up in the middle of the night hoping he was okay. I talked to my brother about it and he said that if my stepdad didn't get better by today that he would take him to the urgent care. My stepdad has been having problems concentrating and with his vision, so it's not safe for him to be driving. I just wish that he would have picked up the phone on Sunday so I could have caught him while it was happening and forced him to go to the ER. Men, I swear!
Food today was good... I'm almost in my calorie range... it's hard when you can't eat solid foods to get your calories. I'm still hungry, but I don't know what else I can eat. I don't have a lot of non-solid foods. I had a can of tomato soup for dinner, but I only have one other can left. Other than that, I have some soups but no broth or bouillon. I do have some seasoning packets for ramen, but I don't feel like that right now. I wish I could eat ramen... I could sure use the noodles. But the noodles are the reason that I can't have it in the first place. I also want something with sour cream, which I can eat, but I don't have anything that I can eat with it that's smooth. Oh well, when I'm done with this I'm going to go raid the kitchen for something I can eat.
