Tooth dreams again

I remember I used to have dreams about losing a lot of teeth when I was younger. One of my daughters has them, too. I remember reading the "interpretations" but don't remember what they were. I suppose I'd lean more toward a literal interpretation as tight finances have made it difficult to go to the dentist again, stuff like that. Last night I had a dream that the left side of my head and neck and face were all bruised up ... mostly yellow bruising, after a severe pain hit. My aunt and uncle, whom I haven't seen in years and who are no longer married to one another, were in the scene ... they are very straightforward and matter-of-fact thought it looked pretty bad and that I should be looked at. I didn't have time right away, but later in the dream several molars broke loose all of a sudden and I spit them out of my mouth. I love the way things don't make sense, because I was realizing that now my jaw bones were just loose, nothing holding them (hinging) together. Although I knew I needed to be looked at, I was busy investigating things ... I was at hospitals, people's houses and driving about.
In one scene, my NH was exposing himself to two other men for money - they were of a different race, he always expresses prejudice toward. He was holding something like a thousand dollars in his hand. I was very angry at him and felt like I just wanted to kick him, but didn't. One of the two men drove off in a really weird car that looked like part of my car - like the back or front half, convertible with no top to it, but it said Toyota Celica on it.

When I woke up today, the whole left side of my mouth hurts. Feels as if I was grinding my teeth again, which would indicate my stress level is going up through the roof ... need to try to find some ways to relax ... the only thing I know that will help is to get some of these ghastly situations taken care of ... without help and without understanding in the "big outside world", it's difficult ... I will just have to do the best I am able to. And persist where I hit roadblocks.

Dadda, I also have those tooth dreams - my teeth always crumble in my mouth and I have to spit out handfuls of crumbled teeth. I did look it up once but have forgotton what it means. I will google it and see - will let you know.

BTW - have wanted to mention before - it seems that one can see your journal without logging into DS - not sure if this is what you selected or not, just thought I\'d mention it. Perhaps check your settings again?

Good idea to find some relaxing endeavours, Dadda. Sometimes it is just a good idea to stop doing and fighting so hard. Let things take their course...?

Hope some beautiful dreams come your way soon.

This may be a picture of incapacitation, coupled with a sense of shame in that you cannot hide tooth loss.

Also, food intake is both functional and pleasurable and you may feel as though you\'ll never have either of these again. This is not unusual in trauma victims.

I always think, too that permanent teeth are gone, once they are gone. I know people can replace them with crowns or whatever those things are called, so the idea of incapacitation, losing something I can\'t get back in a genuine sense, does seem very fitting.
