Toolbox

I opened the box last nite with my husband. My baby was so freaking cute =). It was emotional but unexpectedly peaceful. I felt a since of closure. I will forever remember my little man..He is looking down on me saying "love you mommy". I have noticed that through this journey God gives you little "tools" to help you through a traumatic experience. When I feel like I can't take it, it's like something good, great, surprising, or inspirational happens to me. For example, I thought about having another cycle of IVF and but how am I going to pay for it. Well, I then got my summer job which makes a great amount of money or someone will say something that lifts my spirits and that my deal doesn't happen often. Well, a member of DS messaged me today with such an inspirational message. Don't get me wrong EVERYONE"S hugs and words of encouragment means the world to me. Yet, every now and then someone takes a moment out of their life to send you a personal message. I recieved 2 of those recently.  One today especially touched my heart. That was my "tool" today. Her message of telling me that I helped her gave me encouragement beyond expectation. I always feel like I owe it to myself and God to give words of encouragement, messages, and hugs to others who have walked this path because it's a lot of the ladies acts of bravery and strength that has helped me.  My tools have come in the form of nurses in the hospital, strangers, prayer, teaching my ZUMBA classes and having all kinds of people, studying for my group fitness license, a child's hug and countless other things. What are your tools that have gone noticed or unnoticed that has helped you get through this journey?

Quotes, scriptures, poems, crocheting and advocacy have helped me through this.

I am so proud of you for being able to open that box and feel some of the peace that a hint of closure gives you.

My tools have always been you ladies here -- I really don\'t know if I would have had the strength to keep trying, keep struggling if it hadn\'t been for DS. I think I might have become a bitter, closed off woman. But instead I was always inspired by everyone\'s love and support and personal journeys, and that got me to where I am now

I am also so proud of you. I know that this is a difficult time for both of you. Your encouaging words and optimism is an inspiration for me. In my tool box I have put in some new words \'acceptance\', kindness and patience.

I want you to know that not a day goes by that I don\'t think of you. I know I\'m not on all the time now but I am constantly praying for you. I found so much peace in His Word...I have little meditation books that make it easy for me to read quickly....I truly believe God has a great plan for you....xoxo
