took lovastatin and lopressor with breakfast and 2 hours later the ketazole and i'm ok

this morning i took lopressor and lovastatin with (just after) breakfast, both meds have to be taken with food.  then i feel whacko from the lovastatin (but without it i get those brain surges/pressure and that is worse and could be a stroke coming.  also get pains in the chest, have had those for several years.
so old age is about meds and health ailments.  i'm learning.)  kind of wish steven was here for that, but you never know how your partner will react to anything.  j was never good with medical things even with medical backround.  if he'd been a doctor, it would only have been for minor cuts, allergies, bruises and NOTHING serious.  if its serious he freezes or runs and hides, AMAZING.  won't even say, how many guys i have known that are like that.  can't even be in the same room kind of thing and react even worse if its a kid or a baby....whatever.
with steven, he has gone through so much medical crap himself, you would think he'd be good at that, but i have no idea if he is or not.  even NOW.  lol. (we've been together since 1994 and on and off since february 1985 - boy, am i showing my age.  lol.)   though "now" (old/older age), is when all this stuff hits.  we've been incredibly lucky when you view it comparitively to people like kv or something, who started life with heart surgery as an infant, and then military injuries as a teen, from reaction to wrong meds, does ANY hospital out there read people's charts.  wth?  really makes you wonder.   and now is in the hospital again...not even 30 years old and its like that.  wth?
the lovastatin makes you feel both tired and awake at the same time!  also br says he has to take his statin in the morning as well for the same reason.  good thing i work second shift (i go in after 12, its been my pattern for 23 years and tried earlier a couple of years ago by the insistance of my company and let me tell you, alarm clock mornings sucks and causes depression.  i mean it.  2nd shift, you have a life, you go out, you stay out, no alarm clock, you wake up when you want.  you leisure in the morning, and rest and hang on the deck in a lounge chair.  i return calls while driving into work, though i hear that will be illegal soon.
so while the lovastatin kicks in, i lounge, read and sort of nap.  that works.  i soak in a warm bath, and that works.  by 2:00  the statin is kicked in and i'm almost me, though not as much ME as i am first thing in the a.m. before taking all these hideous medications that flattens out my personality and dulls my brain, but i can't survive without those meds.  how odd.  we are all dying.  our bodies literally, start dying at age 40.  wow!

Hi Hon,

You sound a bit down. Actually, we start to die from the moment we are born. However, looking back through the good and bad, I think we all learned and experienced our lives. I would not wish to go through all of it again. Yes, we all must take our meds. I wish you the best and the least side effects too. Have a super day. XXOO

today the combo is making me nauceous, but i can see a difference in one of my nails, right away. hope i find a way to do this, maybe milk? so i don\'t keep feeling sick from it.

true about the death thing, i was looking at the chart of a healthy person when i wrote it, we start out growing, then we have about fifteen years of health and then the body starts eroding basically at age 40. if i find it again, i\'ll post it. also learned today a possum in captivity only lives 5 years maximum, wonder why? i would have guessed ten years, same as a rabbit. interestingly, a deer lives over twenty years and look how crappy we treat them. humans really piss me off.

Sounds like 2nd shift would be for me. :-))

I hope you feel better and you can get the meds figured out.

Just got the chills just thinking of a opposum....other than a rat....that is the creepiest animal ever. They just give me the creeps and scare me. That is one very unattractive critter. :-(

Yes, human\'s can be very unkind to animal\'s. But I think if you hunt you should eat what you kill and not just hunt for sport. And we do that at the ranch.

Personally, I could NEVER do it. I could never kill a deer or a hog (although those dang hogs need killing as they are killing our livestock and tearing up fences. They are a major threat.

To even be able to walk down to the creek.......is dangerous at times. They could attack at anytime.

It is such a problem that they\'ve made a program about it. Called American Hogger\'s.

Not to be argumentative. LOL. But we start dying from the day we are born! I think looking in the mirror when we hit 40 might have made us think that it might have REALLY started.

Take care.
xoxo
