Too Much Death
Lots of stuff on my son, PPTs, etc, but that will keep for another day. Today I am reflecting on death.
Last year after my aunt died, I HAD it with death! First my dad, then her. I said to myself, "No one is allowed to die in 2011!" Yeah, I know I'm not God. But one can hope, right? And at least hope for minimal death.
Well, here we are 2 months into the year and this is what we've got so far:
- an old acquaintance from marching band- two former members of our church (they were both in nursing homes, but they were awesome!)- my daughter's former troop leader's mom (OK, I didn't know her, but still...)- and now I hear that my cousin-in-law's husband just got run over by a truck & it looks like he won't make it. He was somewhat young & very vital.
This really sucks. And I'm so sad for my cousin-in-law. She has 2 big kids & also struggles with MS. I don't think she works either, because he made good money. I'm so sad for her.
So anyway, 2011 is not off to a good start. :-(
