Too good to be true?

Woke up at 4am this morning thinking about my aunt and the inheritance.   And obviously couldn't go back to sleep.  So as I lay there, I started preparing my battle plan.... I'd decided it would begin with an email asking her for an update, and I spent the next 1/2 hour thinking about what I wanted to say...

I have reason for this - I'm really beginning to hate my job.  Yesterday, I was listening to the radio at work and there was an article about the University of Phoenix.   And it got me thinking - should I consider the whole nine yards and just go to college?   Well, I did my budget to see if I could fit in some kind schooling on my own, you know fees for books, etc.  Nope.  And then yesterday, an incident at work reaffirmed that THIS job isn't secure either, and living for the next several years (if the job lasts that long) without health insurance is REALLY SCARY to me, especially when my sister called me yesterday to tell me she's dealing with a life threatening health issue.  And all this made me feel just a little bit trapped.   But I'm too scared to just take a leap of faith into a new career for fear of becoming unemployed immediately without any savings if it didn't work out.   So I was sitting there yesterday, working on my patience as I tried to decide which direction my future is going to go.  And THAT brought up that last childhood issue - the one that always caused me to cave in, agree to whatever the family ever said to do... like my financial planner friend said 2 weeks ago when we were talking about my emotional growth this year, "there comes a time where we grab our child self and drag it kicking and screaming up to adulthood".   She's right, you know... that was the final issue I needed to deal with.... to stop trying to hide emotionally, pull my child self's face out of the sand, and face the world (and my family) in all its greed and ugliness head on, and step up.

And this morning, I turned on the computer, cup of coffee next to me, and the first email I see is from my aunt... with an attachment which is the receipt and release for beginning the distribution, and it says I get CASH.  I'm going to take it in to make sure it's legit (meaning that I want to make sure I won't get robbed through fees), and if it is legit, distribution begins by FRIDAY.   Cross your fingers!  LATER!

FANTASTIC!!!!
Don\'t give up thinking about school. Look into Federal Money for School. And if the school you want to go to if they give any kind of deals for the unemployed or if you can live for a while on your inheritance you might qualify for more free money than if you are working and maybe just maybe you won\'t have to spend hardly any of it to finish your education, so you can have a job you really like! It sounds hard, but in reality it is one of those things that snowball! Once you start, things just start falling into place! And the money just comes.

I think you should go back to school. You just need to decide what you want to be in this next life you have been given, Google displaced homemakers and see where that might take you. Of course your local college will be able to tell you what aid you might be able to qualify for.

Honey, there is NO SECURITY in ANY JOB -- not just these days, there never was. You just gotta do what you gotta do and try to keep your eyes focused on the POSSIBILITIES rather than the possible pitfalls. Life is a leap of faith like no other!
