Too Early to Tell

It's too early to tell what will be. We've been dating for three and a half months, and sometimes I'm so scared. I'm scared that something bad will happen. For the most part, things are good. He's a great guy, and I'm a great girl when I'm with him. But I don't like the uncertainty of how long we will be together. We could stop seeing each other all of a sudden, or it might be at six months, nine months, a year. I don't know, and it drives me crazy sometimes. Not all the time, and not often, but sometimes. And I know it would be best for me if I learned to let go of this fear. If I learned that I will be okay if we don't make it. That this relationship doesn't reflect on my selfworth. But I'm not there yet. I want to be. I hate worrying about it. I hate wishing we will be together forever, because that's unrealistic. I want to be able to let go of him if he doesn't turn out to be the right guy for me. I don't want to cling to someone just because I don't want to be a failure at another relationship.
