tomoxifil

I don't know why I am afraid of this little itty bitty pill.  I have heard so much about  how people have night sweats and go into menopause, weight gain.  I recently heard that someone lost their hair (I don't think thats correct?).  Now I am over a week behind taking this.  When I see my radiologist  next month he is expecting me to be on this.  I keep putting it off.  I know I shouldn't.  I really need to at least try it.  Not everyone has symptoms with this pill (including losing hair--I still laugh at that  LOL!!).    Radiation is over with and I still have the redness, itching and dry skin that contributes to it.
Recently I switched to Tide and I think I am highly allergic to the detergent.  I am having awful itching and rashes on my thighs and the backs of my knees. Sometimes it itches so much that my skin burns.  This is something I didn't want to have.  Going back to Purex when I do laundry later today.
Because of this tomoxifil, my GYN said I cannot be on the pill - ever again!  She wants me to try the IUD but I am kinda afraid of the thing.  I don't want to do it.  I may just get a tubal ligation and get it over with.  I go back to see her on Thursday morning.   With my PKD and age, I couldn't even think of bringing someone else in this world.  To think of having a kid at age 44 and having this person turn 18 at age 62 doesn't sit well with me at all.  With the PKD, I have to think of my health in general too.

I just wanted to check in on ya. I have been abscent for a few weeks. Dealing with life outside and preparing myself for tomorrows check-up.

I hope that you started taking the meds and have come up with what is best for you in regards to birth control.

Cheers to a great week!
