Tomorrow--Day of Decision

Tomorrow, we go to talk to the oncologist about the affect of the 6 chemo treatments my wife has completed.  From what I understand, the chemo is not working and the lesions have grown.  I haven't told my wife because I didn't want to ruin her Christmas with our family.

I am afraid if the Oncologist tells her the chemo isn't working, that she will terminate the treatments and let nature take its course.

She has some very direct questions for him tomorrow.  One being, why keep up the treatments if they aren't working, and two, if his mother was 74 yrs. old, had the same cancer that she does, what would he want his mother to do?  She also says she is going to ask him if she continues these chemo treatments, how long are they buying her?

She is tired all the time and has a terrible metallic taste in her mouth which doesn't allow her to taste things as they should taste.

Her hair is thinning as well besides drving an hour and a half each way for treatments and spending 6 hrs. for the chemo treatments.

Tomorrow, will be a very difficult day.

Oh, Biker. I really hurt in my heart for what you and your wife are going through. I really can’t imagine such decisions. God will be there right with you both, no matter what is decided.
I will tell you a story of an older lady that I knew. She was one of my best friend’s mother-in-law. She was diagnosed with stomach cancer. She asked the doctor how much extra time that chemo would give her. He said about a month. She enjoyed her final months with her family, without the traumatic chemo treatments, and then went on to meet her Savior. I’m in no way telling you what your wife should do. That is a decision between her, you, and God. I just wanted you to know that story.
I will pray for you and your wife to have peace and calm after you hear tomorrow’s news. God be with you.
