Tomorrow - assuming it does not get postponned again - RAI
I am looking at my desk right now, which is a complete mess, and noteing what I need to take with me into isolation. There is a jigsaw puzzle that hubbby bought me a few weeks ago to cheer me up - that I have been saving for this occasion. There is also a book I started reading over a year ago that I want to read. A box of cookies. An unopened package of my favorite tea - three actually. Oh, and my little teddy bear who keep me safe through my surgery. A pad of paper and a pen. A box of homemade soap from a friend of mine. Today I will measure out exactly one weeks worth of all of my meds - so I won't be in agony.
In the kitchen is a case of one of my favorite foods - cans of condensed milk to combine with Carnation breakfast mix. There is a case of Cup of Noodles and my kettle that boils water with a push of a button. In the freezer are two packages of creamy chicken and rice from Costco, and a container of chicken noodle salad. In the back room is a styrofoam cooler from when my mom-in-law sent us a gift package of Omaha meats.
In the bedroom is my physical therapy thing for stretching my back - I am thinking of wrapping it in a few layers of cloth as I use it every day.
There is more than enough dog, ferret, and goat feed for the animals while I am gone. I am going to go out to the horse stable today and get a hug from my horse. It will be the last time I see him for probably a couple of weeks.
Tomorrow before my therapy I have to stop by the VA pharmacy and pick up my pain meds for next month.
Even if I forget something, hubby or daughter will be able to drop it off for me as I won't be far away.
I am more scared of being alone for six days than of the radiation and being sick from it. I am going to take my laptop with me - that way if I get in emotional crisis, the VA crisis chat line is easily accessable.
All in all, other than the fact that my breakfast is currently the temperature of the SUN, I think I am ready for this.

Looks like you have everything well planned out. You have to be in isolation for 6 days? Is that the required length of time? I have not been required to do this (yet) so that is why I am asking. Glad you will have your computer to perhaps stay connected with us too? You take care and know I will be praying for your.
How long depends on the dose - which I won\'t be told until I take it. So we are assuming the worse so if it is shorter, YEAH, but no worries if it is the whole length
I know you are one strong Lady! Hang in there and stay connected too.
