Tomorrow a sad day
Tomorrow, at 1pm is the graveside service for my brother-in-law. He was 84 yrs. old and I have helped take care of him for the past 10 yrs. He and my sister were married 66 yrs. They were together in the same room here at a local nursing home. They lost a son about 3 yrs. ago to Parkinson's Disease, their youngest son lives in Ohio and they have a daughter who lives about 20 miles away. I have drove them to their Dr appointments, to the ER, numerous times. I have mowed and trimmed their yard, took care of their house, worked on their car, hauled furniture to the nursing home for them, done their weekly shopping for snacks, and goodies they wanted.
My sister has been in the nursing home for 8 yrs. My Brother-in-law has only been there about 4 months. This is hard for me because he and I hunted and fished together years ago. He was a good friend and we did projects together, too. I've known him since I was a kid, myself.

I'm so sorry. for the sadness you are going through.
The ones that are left behind are the ones that bare the pain, sadness, and loss of their loved ones.
The ones left behind also have the gift to keep their beloved friends memories alive and spirit close with them and take them with them through their lifes journeys.
We must be thankful and rejoice that our loved ones are no longer suffering, they are now free and at peace.

Service was fine. Mostly family there. A few friends showed up. I'm glad the weather was much better, about 40 today and sunny.
