Tomorrow

I have had some thought and this is what I have come up with, why do we do things? Do we do them out of faith or trust? Do we do it out of fear of judgement, of ties of love and friendship, or do we do it simply by gain over cost, what we lose taken from what we gain? Each moment we take we may live to regret, every chance not taken. Always looking to tomorrow for what will happen, but tomorrow looking back on yesterday. What kind of person do you want to be tomorrow? An old, hunched man who looks into the mirror, gazing into the eyes of a withered reflection whispering over and over to himself "was it worth it, was it worth it?" Who can tell wether destiny applies, or do we just like it because it makes us believe that we are not in control of our own lives and our decisions are not ours after all. Was it worth it? Throughout life I've always made it look like I've had a plan far more than I let on, or pretend that I have/had a plan when I didn't. Everything was just an obstacle to overcome one way or another. It feels like I would climb a tree, not knowing what I would do when I get to the top, just knowing that when I got there I would be confronted with another choice, another thing to do. To quote the joker: 'Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. You know, I just... do things. The mob has plans, the cops have plans, Gordon's got plans. You know, they're schemers. Schemers trying to control their little worlds. I'm not a schemer. I try to show the schemers how pathetic their attempts to control things really are.' Just to set thing straight I'm not (at least I hope) a mass murderer who dresses up as a clown while fighting a man in really tight clothing who adorns himself in bat icons. Still, I don't have a plan, I never do, at least not a working one. That is it for now though
