Today is the Day for an Outing

I am feeling better again today.  It is sunny and beautiful outside and that really helps me want to venture out. I am going to the market to cash my check.  Then I will take a cab to go visit my son who is in jail.  Even though he did a bad thing, he is my only son.  I see true sorrow in him and he has prayed to God in true repentance.  This means the world to me.  So, I do visit him every week while he is in the county jail.  He will be going to prison somewhere in New York state. Don't know where yet.  Now, if only we could get the kids back.  It is not fair to punish their mother...she had no idea what had happened to her daughter, my granddaughter, but yet the childrens' father lied and told the court my daughter knew what happened and so he got temporary custody.  The kids are so unhappy there.  They hardly knew their dad, and his girlfriend has not been treating them well.  This has caused my grandson to become violent toward her, and he is only 11.  They won't take my granddaughter to counseling or doctor, even though they are supposed to.  Why can't we have them back?  That is the hardest thing.  When they get to come for a visit (supposed to be every weekend, but the girlfriend's parents decided to lie and say they had a fight with mom of kids, even though it never happened!!!!).  I am hoping they are allowed to come tomorrow.  If not, we have to go back to the lawyer and tell him they are violating the court order.  This all seems like a bad dream, but it is unfortunately true.  I am a third party, so there is absolutely nothing I can do to help fight for the kids.  I have an appointment on Monday for counseling.  I hope they have a doctor there who can increase my Effexor or add another to it.  I keep praying and I know that I will come through this and that the kids will come home.  They just have to.  Well, I am going to go get ready to go out and cash my check.  I will write again tomorrow.
