today is pull free 13 weeks

I have been pull free now for 13 weeks. my bald patches are still very noticeable.  There is a lot of regrowth.  A lot of it is grey.  Some areas have very thin regrowth.  I still cannot wear my hair down.  I cannot wait for the day that I can just wash my hair and leave the house without an hour of fussing trying to hide the damage.  It is so frustrating to be pull free for 13 weeks and still have areas that are so thin.  When I was younger, my hair would grow back so fast, at 13 weeks my condition would be undetectable.  I think I may have done some permanent damage.  I have an event to go to on April 5 and I really want to have my hair cut and colored professionally.  I cant remember exactly when I last had my hair done in a salon, it has to be more than 12 years.  I have to stay positive because I have never gone 13 weeks without pulling.  The time has been moving slowly because my spots are not completely filled in.
