TODAY IS ONE OF THE WORST DAYS.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU KNOW SOME ONE FOR 11 YEARS AND TODAY IS THE DAY HE WALKED OUT OF THE GATES OF HELL AFTER BEING INCARCERATED FOR 24 YEARS AND YOUR BIGGEST FEAR IS YOU WILL NEVER EVER HEAR FROM HIM AGAIN. I HAVE MISS BELIEFS IN PEOPLE SAYING THEY WILL KEEP IN TOUCH ONCE RELEASED, TRUST ISSUES, BECAUSE EVERY ONE THAT SAID THEY WILL STAY IN TOUCH HASN'T, ITS ALL WORDS RUNNING OUT OF THEIR MOUTH THATS ALL. THIS REALLY HURTS CAUSE HE WAS THERE FOR ME 11 YEARS AGO WHEN MY MARRIAGE WAS FALLING APART. HE WAS MY STRENGTH AT THAT TIME BUT WE NEVER LOST TOUCH, NOT UNTILL NOW THAT IS. I REALLY WANTED TO KEEP OUR FRIENDSHIP IMPACT, BUT I JUST DON'T BELIVE IN PRISON WORDS. I HAVE TO GET THIS GUY OUT OF MY MIND, AND LEAVE THE DECISION IN GODS HANDS WHETER HE WILL CONTACT ME OR NOT. PRISON RELATIONSHIPS STINK ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU MEET THE GUY ON THE INSIDE, I JUST BELIEVE THE RELATIONSHIP IS STONGER IF YOU KNEW EACH OTHER BEFORE HE/SHE WENT IN.

that is not true! i know many people who have strong relationships that started off in prison. i think you should just keep your faith. if he was there for you once he might just be there for you again. keep you head up.
Your being to hard on yourself. In prison the incoming and outgoing letters are read before recieved or sent. The words that these prisoners use must satafy the staff or they get punished for not complying. My husband has done this. He says he\'s \"doing what has to be done to get out\" by this it means that he will write what the staff wants to hear and asked me to do the same. When the mail comes in the letters are open to search for items not to be there, then if typed or looks different the letter will be read. Sometimes what happens is a small loss of comunication and the prisoner is fourced not to write for two or three weeks. When they get out they also must deal with the same rules as the mail may be looked at or the phone tapped. Don\'t give up and let God work with you and your friend. Some prisons expect the prisoner to not have any contact with the outside world as they may get out sooner and the state and fed. funds are lost for the prisoner being out. To have a relationship with a prisoner while your outside and they are in may be tough but I believe it is possable.
