Today is going to be a good day
I have decided that today is going to be a good day. No matter what. I have dropped everything and the computer is running slower than ever, but that is ok, because I am not going to let it bother me. I am going to have a good day. I have decided that today I am going to start my diet, and make today the first day of the rest of my life, I am going to feel better about my life, I am going to exersize more and get my hubby more motivated. I am going to spend more time talking to my friends and family. I am just going to do it. I know that I will feel better and I will be a happier person.Yesterday was a challenging day, but we got through it, and I did not have to have a tizzy fit and everyone was very nice. Hubby had to have his trach changed again, and I was a little nervous going into it, because last time he ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks. We got everything together and got into the van and went to the hospital ER in another town, because our town will not change his trach (a whole long story that I will not get into right now). When we got there, I checked him in and I had to do all the talking because he couldn't. They were really nice. It was a busy day, so we had to wait awhile.. I did not care, because I finally talked him into getting it done. When we finally got into the trama room and the doctor came in, he was asking me all kinds of questions on how I knew that it had to be changed. I could tell that he was not real familiar with a trach. I was thinking to myself, here we go again, he is going to tell us that it can not be done. But after ane thousand questions and believing me that it needed changed, he went and found a resperatory therapist that would change it. I know how much he hated it last time, and I knew that he would be very scared, but I also knew that he would feel better. It was kinda scary for me too, because the therapist said that he had not changed a trach since he was in school, but I did not care, it had to be done. He did great, I was scared when I saw hubby start to bleed, but they said that it was normal, and would stop soon. It did and then for the rest of the night he coughed and coughed. He still could not talk and kept saying that he still could not breath right, but last time he had it changed, he was put right back on the vent, and could not talk either. We got home and I put him on the vent early, he had a hard day and was asleep in no time, I had to wake him up to take his night time meds. He says that today he is breathing better and can talk a little more. I just think that it is going to take a couple of days for his throat to feel better and that he will be back to normal in a day or two. Thought for the day.............Look for the best in all situations.
