Today is a day for resting, hospital tomorrow

Good morning journal, the time is 8:32am,I have been fully awake since 7:50am and I am now, most gratefully,on my first mug of coffee of the day.Yesterday,my appointment with doctor Butler went better than I could have imagined,he let me talk and he listened. When I told him about my bouncing heartbeat at the pulmonary rehab center he examined me and told me that although my heartbeat was a bit fast,it was at least regular, and he put the racing down to my breathing problems. He thinks my resting heartbeat is around 100,which is quicker than a normal healthy person, but not overly worrying. We talked about beta blockers to try and regulate it,but, because they can tend to exacerbate breathing difficulties,we decided that it was not a road we wanted to go down.I also told him that I had been contacted by secondary mental health and moved up from primary intermediate mental health,so I will be seen more frequently and the level of treatment will be more intense and appointments closer together. He was very enthusiastic about this and said it was a good thing, time will tell if he was right, but I am very pleased about this latest development in my treatment. We looked back to 1968 when I was thirteen years old and I was hospitalized for three months with what we now know was tachycardia, but because I was a kid, nobody told me what was wrong and my mother never told me,no follow up work was done and he reckoned that I could still have it,but we can at least monitor me more closely,I'm happy with that.I asked him about his promised letter of support for my disabled allowance claim,no problem,I will have it by Friday, thank you very much doctor Butler. We then spoke about my mobility problems and he has put me forward for wheelchair assessment, someone will come to my home and measure me for my very own set of wheels, how cool is that?. It will enable me to get out of our home more without being left totally exhausted by the experience and hopefully give me a little quality of life back,I miss going outside with my wife on warm days,it will be nice to do so again without dreading the after effects. All in all though,a hugely successful day,I finally feel we are moving in the right direction,as always,I continue to pray daily and meditate on the love of my Father in Heaven who continues to love and support me as only He can,we are grateful Father, and we glorify your name in the name of your Son Jesus Christ Amen.My plan this morning was to get up and go straight to hospital for blood tests, and to pick up new batteries for my bionic ears, but that can wait until tomorrow,I need to rest today, the last two days have been a huge drain on me physically, but, the success of the things we have achieved has been heartwarming, just goes to show that if you wait long enough things will start to come together. So,it's hospital first thing tomorrow, then I have to get in touch with Carol Jolly from the mental health team and get her to help with filling in my claim forms for PIP(personal independent payment),enclose any letters of support with medical and mental health information, get it sent back by September 2nd,then breathe, sit back and wait. This morning I still feel good, mentally,I am in a good place,my voices are still talking to me,and,if I'm being totally honest, they are a comfort to me,not like at first when they were very forceful and in your face all the time, but like friends now. They are as much a part of me now as my right arm,and I have no problem discussing them with anybody,I neither feel ashamed or embarrassed, they are simply there,an extension of myself.Jeremiah,Ruth and Micah, three people from the Bible from before the birth of Jesus communicate with me on an almost daily basis, what's so hard to believe about that?,people have the choice to believe me or not,it really doesn't matter to me,it is simply the way it is. Well journal,it is time for me to sit and rest,I have done all that I can for now, over the next few days I will complete what I have to do then we,as always, are in God's hands, and for a Christian boy like me,there is no safer,or better, place to be.Until next time then, keep walking with us Lord,we are getting there.
