Today is 4 years.....

I have been reading posts for awhile now and decided I needed to join.  Today my husband, of 35 years, has been gone for 4 years.  It still does not seem real and he will walk through the door at any time.  Today has been very hard to get through, but I am trying to.  I was lookin at pictures, remembering a lot of good times.  My kids, and good friends, checked in with me to see if I was ok.  I just keep remembering that last day.

So much has happened in the 4 years.  We had just moved into our forever home when he got sick with cancer.  I had to sell the house, sell a lot of things, moved into a 1 bedroom apartment, made so many decisions by myself, I hated it.  He should be here to help me.

I get so upset that he is not here to talk over things with and that I have to do things by myself.  I really miss some of the things we used to do together, even just silly little things like going to the grocery store, or going to our favorite diner to sit and talk, or watching baseball games and even I miss watching golf with him.

I am hoping this site will help me by reading other posts and hoping to get some helpful advice.

Wow. It always catches me off guard when someone speaks my heart. Sounds like you two were partners and I totally get you missing that partnership. I miss the me and him against the world and the me and him out to help the world and the me pulling him to come on lets fix the world. I hate football because of him and sometimes I find myself watching just to feel close to him.

You should read you post again. You had to make so many decisions by yourself. You hated it and you felt he should be here with you to help. But on the other side of that....you did it! Picture me slowly jumping in the air and raising my pom poms for you. So keep posting and post on the main wall for all to see. This site is great. I make it a part of my day every day.

Thank you for your reply. I haven't check on here for awhile. Today was not a good day. Thinking way too much and getting upset. Weekends are the hardest for me. We used to do a lot together on the weekends, or just watched movies, stuff like that. Work keeps my mind busy. Just feel super lonely. Thanks again and hugs to you. Thanks for the pom poms, made me chuckle. :)
