Today, I WILL PRAISE!
I've oft stated "I am not a Bible thumper but I am a Christian". This statement is true to the core. Christians are called to LOVE and SHARE but thump on someone, no. Jesus never thumped but loved and spoke truth in that love. What I am about to share, is exactly where I am and the truth, all the truth that I am facing. What am I facing? In human terms, a nightmare, but my God, my Savior, my Lord, is bigger than that. I WILL STAND FIRM, LIFTING MY ARMS AND FACE AND EYES TOWARDS HIM AND PRAISE HIS NAME IN THIS TIME. 2 Chronicles 20:17-18 there is a horrific war about to take place and the children of God, the Israelites, were outnumbered, no way to win by human standards but God's Holy Word states, (17) You will not need to fight in this battle: take your position, stand still and see the vitory of the Lord on your behalf. O Judah and Jerusalem, Fear not, and be not dismayed; tomorrow go out against them and the Lord will be with you. (18) Then Jehospaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping the Lord." (Revised Standard Version) This passage reminded me that God, my Father, Jesus, His Son, who is my Lord and Savior, whom I follow with all my heart, and whom I love and adore, never never changes. This is also stated in the holy word of God Almighty. It is stated similiarly in Ephesians 6:10-18 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; 16 besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, (Revised Standard Version) I, my youngest son, DW, and my daughter, Jasmine are all fighting neurological fights that the doctors do not understand. My daughter I sat with in the ER with her right side unresponsive. I thought stroke, Bell's palsy or epilepsy? She would smile only with her left side of her face while her right side drooped. She was confused and kept passing out. She would look at me but not see me. The ER has an MRI done which shows no stroke nor tumor. Thank God, but still no answer as to what is wrong. She must see a neurologist and her current symptoms continues. As this nightmare is going on, earlier I had to take DW, my youngest to have tests on his brain (CAT Scan, EEG, EKG) and I was awaiting the results of DW's testing. The doctor phones to tell me, there is something not quite right with DW's EEG and he needs further testing by a neuorolgist. Add to this I am awaiting to see a neurosurgeon as my neurologist states I could awake one morning paralyzed from the waist down in a wheelchair or depending upon the impingement in my spine, just stop breathing. At times like this, friends cannot comfort nor bring peace. Prayers, certainly; love and be with you, yes; but you must walk this walk by yourself and not even my husband can truly help the ache within my heart and soul. BUT PRAISE GOD, my Savior & Lord Jesus has promised (Matthew 28:20) He would NEVER leave me alone. With Him I walk, not alone, with the Only One who can truly understand my deepest sorrows and concerns. Without one word, He knows my heart. Yet, in prayer, I pour out my soul to Him, casting all my cares (1 Peter 5:7). Then it is time to battle that which cannot be seen in this physical world (Ephesians 6:12) and to PRAISE my God and my Deliverer. The One and ONLY One who controls all things. Does this mean I think He is a genie in a bottle to grant each petition I lay before Him? No, dear ones, what this means is that I know in the deepest deepest part of my soul that my Saviour loves me abundantly and that regardless of what comes, He will work it somehow someway for my good (Romans 8:28). This too is another promise. Not meaning that what may come at me in life is always good, but what Satan means for my harm, God will turn it around and make it work for my good. Nothing comes to me except FIRST it must pass through my Father's hands. What comes is either to bless me, to teach me, to strengthen my faith, or is my Father lovingly disciplining me where I have erred. Yes, disciplining is love. What parent who truly loves their child lets them run wildly about without correction? God, my Father, is no different. He is all good; He is love as well as loving; He upholds me with His right hand and no man can remove me from Him nor can anything. Satan may make all the threats and noise he wishes, but after all, he is only noise and I am safe in my Father's hands. Again, I will CHOOSE to PRAISE HIM for not only is He worthy but it is a weapon my Father has given unto me to fight against Satan. Praise, prayer, and supplication. To those of you who choose to read this, so be it. I stand firm in all I have stated. It is who I am and what I believe with all my soul. My strength comes from my personal relationship with my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, the only begotton Son of God, and the only way to the Father. If I have offended you and you consider this "Bible thumping", I have stated all truth in love and with kindness. I offer it to my friends to truly know my deepest soul and making sure there be no doubt whatsoever where I stand. When the day comes that I pass on, I want my friends and others to know, I stand firm in Jesus Christ, His atoning blood which paid for all my sins, and who I will see when I draw my last earthly breath. HE IS GOOD, PRAISE HIS NAME NOW AND FOREVER! I WILL PRAISE HIM WITH HANDS HELD HIGH, FACE TOWARDS HEAVEN, LOUDLY AND WITH TEARS STREAMING! HE IS WORTHY, GOOD, AND LOVING.
