Today I Felt Pretty Darn Good

I took a hike in Joshua Tree National Park once again.  There are endless places to explore and I felt pretty good all day.    The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze and the temperatures were perfect.  I had a few moments of minor abdominal pain, but it was so minor I was able to just ignore it.
I wanted to mention that something interesting happened while I was out exploring.  I was scrambling around on all these big boulders as I was working my way threw washes and up hillsides and suddenly I realized my camera was not in its case!  I usually strap my Nikon Coolpix to the front of my Camelback pack and yet the case was empty!  I was obviously sad that my camera was gone, but I didn't exactly give up hope that I might be able to find it.  I knew I had covered a lot of rocky terrain and that the odds were against success, but I figured I'd try to retrace my steps and hope for the best.  Just as I was about to consider it a done deal, I wound my way back down into the wash and there it was laying in the sand!    Much to my amazement, I found my camera!
