To go or not to go, that is the question
I love my brain, and how its so smart and covers me and my emotions into a nice warm blanket.
i want to go, there are truly days i dont, but i want to go now, as i felt the urge, of Friday winding down, a decent work week, no plans, daughter off and happy, here i sit.
and sit and sit
so....what to do i know how to keep busy, dont need lessons in that, I JUST WANT TO GO, thats it.
have a drink? hmm..may make it worse, could calm my nerves, eat something? god dont get in that habit, i'll baloon up w/the amount of urges, wait til it passes .....tick tock
lately readers have been posting about how to stop yourself from going, well, you need to get up, get keys or a ride of some sort, money of course, and iron clad thinking on "this is a great idea"....
its snowing, its too far away, friday 5 traffic, uggghhh, cant go now, maybe tomm...hmmm cant tomm have plans.....how lucky can a girl get :) :) I just hit the jackpot

What helps me is making the decision that I am not going to go and leaving it. Know what I mean? When I let myself mull it over (and over and over and over) this forces my will power to fight for hours. Eventually I just get so sick of fighting and go for relief from the fight. A couple of things I do once I decide I am not going (as insurance....lol):
1. get in the shower or bath so that I would have to actually get dressed again if I wanted to go.
2. call someone just to chat on the phone.
3. start cooking a big meal for myself or bake something that takes an hour to prepare and cook.
I hope that urge voice grows silent for you tonight. It sounds like you\'ve beat it and if you can beat it once, you can beat it again!
