TO ALL MY DEAR FRIENDS
I know I've failed to be on here for so long, some of you may have forgotten who I am. I am still around. Been attending 2 different schools for two different programs, going to various schools giving talks to hopefully help kids learn safe dating (no jerks or jerkettes) and avoid domestic violence, church ministry as Christian Adviser, church work with kids in foster care, well, that's a BIT of what's keeping me going. Not to mention my other stuff in spare time. LOL
I'm dealing a lot these days with parents who have "kids" (19-25) on drugs. If all goes as planned, my second program will be finished on this Thursday and I hope to head up a support group for these people. Just because your "baby" isn't under your roof, it still kills you to know they are doing drugs and that you have no power to stop it. These people need your prayers as well as a safe place to find support and information. Pray I do God's will and help those who are seeking as well as hurting.
I am studying everything on neuroscience, neurology, psychology, Christian counseling, etc. I've so much to learn and there is always a new drug or new term hitting the streets. Most of them I know but the drugs are always in the lead. Got the term thrown at me this weekend about "What are baked goods?" I had to tell the person whose loved one is involved in this mess that it means: (1) they have meth ready or (2) the supplies to shake & bake the meth. Not happy news to deliver. Heartbreaking to see people's shoulders slump from the sorrow, grief, and fear.
Know I've not forgotten all of you and I promise to try to get here more regular. LOVE & HUGS TO ALL!!!!

Thanks, NAN! GOT MY AWARDS LAST NITE (Thursday 3/1) for finishing the 12 Step Program and yes, I am now going to be trying to get started a support group for FAMILIES WITH ADDICTS. I suppose that is what it shall be called. Wish me luck. There is GREAT need but there is so much guilt & shame that goes with it, it is hard to get people to break their silence....HUGS
There is....I wanted to go years ago when my Dad was addicted and my husband wouldn\'t let me go because of what someone might think. I hope you break the silence and help people get some peace of mind.
Dearest Nan - This is a great program as it is for ANYTHING & ANYONE! Grief, divorce, drugs, alcohol, abuse, cancer, anything that is a \"HURT, HABIT, or HANGUP\" as the motto goes.
I\'m getting quite a few contacts about families suffering who have no support and this place is all confidential which is MANDATORY! The confidential part, I mean. :)
