To AC or not to AC..it's not really a question...
I just don't know what to make of my in laws right now. What part of, "Sweating heavily does NOT help my HS." do they not seem to understand?
Now I can understand turning off the AC if someone has a window open, or if the temperature outside makes it so cool in the house that it wouldn't turn on anyways. But to sit there and ask if my hubby had his windows closed, which I told them yes, they are closed, and to go anyways and turn off the AC. that just pissed me off to no end. I mean, everyone in this house knows I have been sick as hell with flare bad enough for me to be running a constant fever. It's not like it hasn't been obvious that I have been, and still am, sick.
I have tried explaining to them that the heavy sweating I endure, due in part to their constant fiddling and screwing with the AC, is in NO way helping my HS and is making it worse. I mean it's ridiculous to go to bed comfortable, with nothing but a sheet to cover me, and to still wake up covered in sweat from where they have gotten up and cut off the AC. And to sit there and give me the bs excuse of "I can't afford a high ass light bill." when I keep seeing you buy anything else you want, when you want it, just ain't cutting the mustard anymore.
What the hell will it take to make these people understand that screwing with the AC the way they are doing is making my situation worse?They screw with the AC, which 1.)Makes me sweat like hell AND 2.)Makes me stress out and get ill, which is the last thing I need, really.
Not to mention it's stupid to turn off the AC in the morning, when you know that the temperature outside it going to get up (rather quickly) to where you would need it on anyways, I would think it would cost more money to get a house cooled down rather than keeping it at one temperature from the start.
On another note, I can't wait until I can post something positive. I'm not normally a complainer, most of the time I choose to say nothing, rather than "whine". Here's to looking forward to a better, more positive day.

AC is always one of those things where it is difficult to find a happy medium! I\'m usually cold around AC so I just keep an extra layer around. On the other hand, when I used to work as a home healthcare aide I would have to have layers to take OFF because their houses were so warm!
well keeping the ac on is cheaper than the on/off bullshit. can\'t your hubby aka. mr. bleach (lol) have a chat with them. Call the utility company and get their opinion on what is cheaper. cough-cough. nothing is cheap these days.
