Tired and sleepy
Day 4 on Lexapro. Around 11AM yesterday (just about the time we left to go to the party), I started feeling sleepy (like I would after taking an antihistamine.) I figured it was the Lexapro. I did drive up to the party, 1 hr, and got over the double decker bridge. I was a little shaky and did have 2 brief moments of panic attacks on the way up but fought it off. Dummy me only had 2 cups of coffee and a Fiber One bar before we left, figuring that we would eat when we got there. But my cousin (who's birthday party it was) was almost 2 hrs late to her own surprise birthday party! So maybe it was a drop in blood sugar, but I started not feeling well- nauseous and shaky. We got some soup and some bread and I started feeling better, but then felt a panic attack coming on. And the sleepiness got pretty bad. I took a Xanax around 4pm and we left 4:15pm. Paul drove home. I felt a lot better by the time we left. Then I was ok last night but did binge eat last night since we had eaten dinner so early. The party was nice and i did get to see my mom, 2 brothers and a bunch of cousins. My brother Rob actually spoke and was nice! I got to hold Lucia, my beautiful little niece who is going to be 1 next month. She is such a sweetie!
Feeling a little sleepy and foggy brained today. Working from home. going to try to do some kind of exercise later, either Wii Walk it Out or walk the dog or something. Struggling to focus on work today. But no anxiety, thank God! I am figuring that part of this is due to turning clocks forward for Daylight Savings and also the Lexapro kicking in. Praying over time the sleepiness goes away. I kind of expected it and I will gladly deal with the sleepiness over the constant anxiety any day.
It is 45 and damp and overcast outside which isn't helping my mood either. It feels cold in the house. The temp is such that the heater isn't constantly running, so when it gets to the right temp, it turns off and it feels cold. I am sitting her with a space heater. Paul started clearing out some of the planting beds over the weekend and the crocuses are in bloom! And Spring starts this Sunday and it is also my 18 year anniversary on 3/20. Don't have any plans. maybe I will talk Paul into going out to dinner. My mom's basement flooded this past Friday from all the rains and Paul went up and cleaned up and pumped all the water out without me even asking. I was so grateful. I had to laugh as I put something to this affect on facebook and Rob saw it and said to my mom at the party yesterday "why didn't you ask me?" I guess he felt guilty. he lives 15 minutes away from her and it is his mother. We live 45 minutes away, each way and it is not Paul's mother. But Paul did it for me and that is what I love about him.
