- Brushing two times a day - You have to brush your teeth twice a day and each time you have to spend at least for 2 to 3 minutes. It is recommended to use a tooth paste which contains a chemical substance called fluoride as it helps to harden the enamel of your teeth.
- Change toothbrush - You have to use the high quality tooth brush, if not then it is recommended to replace it with new one. One should change their brush regularly and it is more preferable to go for an electric one. Do not forget to change its head every 2 to 3 months or when its bristles become worn.
- Dental visit - It is recommended to book an appointment to your dental doctor regularly for a checkup because a dentist helps keeping your teeth and gums healthy. He also treats plaque and tartar which build up on your teeth and can cause oral diseases and it is far better to visit him twice a year to get your teeth cleaned.
- Floss and rinse - Though brushing is important to get rid of germs from your teeth, it does not remove them completely, and so you have to do some other things like flossing and rinsing. Flossing your teeth can help to clean the food particles that deposit between your teeth and rinsing your mouth with mouth wash can reach the places which are hard to reach by other methods.
- Brush before food - It is good to brush your teeth before consuming foods because drinks and foods with high acidic level will make the enamel soft and if you brush at its softest, it will cause damages to it. This can also lead to teeth sensitivity as well as cavities. Therefore, you have to wait at least half an hour to clean your teeth after food.
- Reduce sugar consumption - Another thing to be done for protecting your teeth is you have to reduce the intake of foods that have high sugar content, as these sugary drinks and foods can soften enamel. Though it can be harden by saliva that present in your mouth, it takes more time to build.
Follow these points to avoid any oral problems and if you are already suffering from any, do not hesitate to go for dental clinic and the dentist will definitely find a proper solution for you.
