Time to write happy stuff

The smoke from the Yosemite Rim fire is finally gone from our property. It's still burning, but it's much smaller. They say it should be 100% contained next week. But it will probably smolder until the snow falls. Anyways, I can breathe again! I just went outside with the Puppy and we took a short walk around our property. And it smells so good outside. And the sky is so blue. And I have fallen in love with life all over again.
The kids will be close by in Merced next weekend for the Alzheimer's walk. Their dad (my ex) has early onset. He is 59 years old and can't remember their names anymore. He just knows they are safe for him to be with. That disease is heartbreaking. So, I guess we will go have breakfast or something with them (the kids and grandkids - not their dad, still don't like him, just sad to see the kids hurt.) It's a quick trip for all of them. I'm just so happy we get to see them and hug them. Yay!
Autumn weather is wonderful!
And life is good.

Dee, I am so relieved that you can venture outside again without the fear of being overwhelmed by smoke. I know it has been a difficult time but I am glad they finally have it under control.

I have an ex I don\'t care for, and I haven\'t seen hide nor hair of her in 35 + but, like you I wouldn\'t want her to suffer from that disease. LOL sure she can suffer from other stuff (like she made me suffer) LOL but not that. Mom had it after her stroke, and at least she liked the older me as much as the younger me. Each time I visited I had to find a way to stir her memory. So enjoy the meal, enjoy the family, and take care of yourself.
