Time to get back moving
Well, I have decided it is time for me to get back on my exercise routine. I have fallen off the wagon long enough and gained about 10 pounds since January and starting my job reassignment. I used the job for an excuse for a while, albeit a good one because it did and has drastically impacted my schedule and rest. I have been driving 3 days a week 40 miles one way to work which takes about an hour and 15 minutes in the morning and an hour and a half or more in the evenings going home. I get home later, I’m tried and I’ve been getting to work late because I have been tired in the mornings and with the drain on me from the drive in traffic. Well, last week I started back exercising. I am lifting weights at home a few days and I am also starting to work out in the gym again at work. I have my workout close today. I’m reading a book on how to do certain exercises in the gym. One of my many finds when I hit the used book sale at the library : ). It is time for me to stop complaining about how I feel and do something about it.
It is funny because you always hear that you are the average of the 5 people you hang around the most. Well, the other day went I was venting to my husband and told him that he was bringing my average down because he is not doing right eating or exercise wise as with my boys and father in law who is living with us. I told him I needed to find other likeminded people and I wasn’t going to wait for him to exercise anymore. (After which I still bought some ice cream from the store LOL) but I did get my workout in and started back with my fresh juicing. After my venting was over he said he had been feeling the same way and was glad I beat him up a little : ). Anyway, I’m heading to the gym today after work. If I am going to have to drive out here then I am going to at least start using the free gym to get something out of the deal.
Anyway, my new goal is not necessarily to cut things out but to start including the good things in the routine such as exercising regularly, eating a certain number of servings a day of veggies and fruit. If I can add these things I think the other things in my life will fall in place. I will get more energy which will allow me to get up on time and get my butt to work. I will lose the 10 pounds and hopefully more in the process on my journey and since I am part of my family’s five people that they hang around, maybe I can help bring up their average. As a side note, it might just be working a little bit. My son that just graduated is taking a summer class at the community college he will be attending in the fall and he went to the gym and worked out for the first time on Monday. He says he plans to continue. If that is the case then that’s three down (me and my two boys) and two to go (hubby and father in law) in the exercise portion. The push will be then eating. Wish me luck
Go ME!!!!

Sounds like a good plan! I hope you can get the hubby and father in law on board. I need to exercise and eat better. But it is hard to do it by yourself and I would be by myself. I think Megan might would. Good luck!!
Good to hear from you Cheryl. Way to go on getting on track with the exercising. Good Luck on it all.
