Time To Celebrate Family!
I've been looking forward to having my beautiful Granddaughter Michaela visit me this summer. She will be starting high school this semester i & a next door neighbor I grew up with are the only people from our high school class (as best we know) who have teenage grandchildren , both 14 years old. Whoa! what happened there?? Last summer I wasn't sturdy enough for a visit. I'm not strong enough and still on too many medications to drive, so I can't take her for a week, but at least I have the stamina to keep up a day to day visit. We managed to get some cyber shopping done together the last couple of weeks. We still have a couple of packages ordered that haven't arrived. Hopefully today so she can take it all home with her Sunday. I had the makeup that we ordered through Ulta sent to her house direct. She's going to be so surprised when she gets that. Ulta was having a promotion wherein if you buy $20 worth of Ulta products you get a 25 piece gift set . I ordered one for myself and couldn't believe the freebies. It was all full size products. What I ordered paled in comparison to what I ordered . So I ordered one for a dear friend who lost her husband as I'm thinking about you cheer me up package. And the one for Michaela. God has been so good to me on this Grandma mission of love. Deals and promotions have fallen into my lap to make the budget stretch. My husband is picking her up at noon so she too can kick off our visit attending the family bowling tournament he started to celebrate the summers collective birthdays. I of course will not be bowling for fear that I might wind up in the alley instead of the ball. I will be bringing my ball because it's an 11-lb. My sister in law likes it and if Michaela's fingers are too big for the kid balls. It takes time to develop a grip for the heavier balls. It's back to beddie time for me. Stay tuned for more......
