Time to Breath

Craps class is finally over...most passed the written test with flying colors...made me so proud. Inspires me to teach another class soon, just not craps lol. I did find out that our company was sold this past week to Churchill Downs...Wonderful??? Not sure, ask again in 6 months. I am not in fear of losing my job...yet...life does go on though and one thing for sure is this casino would not close down if I wasn't here...
On another note...my Dad will turn 80 in February...now he has had an amazing career...30 years in the Army, 19 of those as Special Forces Green Beret. He is a lifer and an old timer, they call them ground pounders, or grunts. Neither is how I have ever looked at my Dad. He has always been a positive energy in my life. He loves unconditionally and asks for nothing in return. He has taught me well over the years. All of his Green Beret buddies that are still alive are helping me create a huge birthday party for him and all of them are going to fly in form all over the states to spend this day with him and with us. I AM SO EXCITED!!! They think we should have an open bar, a dance floor and a band...geez..I am gonna have to take a college 101 course on how to prepare for this LOL.
If my Maymay was here I could hand the whole project over to her and close my eyes, count to three and she would have had the whole thing planned and ready to go and it would be a HUGE success! Just another thing I miss so much. MayLyn loved celebrating, parties, birthdays and all of that...I can barely get a card sent in time, and those are usually late.
My friend Debbie is doing a little better this week, she is slowly gaining a little color back in her checks. Her Mom has been staying with her and her Mom lost a child back in the 70's at a young age, she understnads what her daughter is going through and has been a huge support for Debbie. I am so grateful she has been here. Debbie is a good woman with a huge heart and she has been a wonderful friend to me. I still wish my Mom could have supported me in some way, but with the Alzheimers...she still to this day is oblivious to MayLyn's passing. I was lonely and sad for so long...only saw the four walls of my room for over 2 years till some bright minded woman started up FMO...truly a blessing for me and for my family. Without FMO I would still be hiding in my room, full of sorrow and pain.
I will be doing the great mailing of letters this week so I am going to need each and every Mom to say a few prayers for us all. Pray that there is that special someone out there that will know just what to do and how to respond...quickly. I know I will be praying my butt off, this has been huge for me and I so want to be successful...I know we will make this happen, I just know it. F A I T H!!!!
I send butterflies and rainbows to each of you....I hope your week is filled with sunshine and peace...we all deserve a little peace in our lives every now and then...
Walking beside you always.....
Love jacqueline PLH
MayLyn...I looked at some of yur pictures this week and I am amazed at how much your daughter looks just like you. I know that Tina and Hunter are my blessings, but I wanted to tell you that I would give anything to smell your hair, hold you again, make you smile and laugh and be able to share all of this with you....Love always and forever...till we see each other again...Mom
