Time off! Please
I finally got caught up with the tomatoes today, 16 pints later of hot salsa and I was done with the ripe ones. Just in time too, tomorrow we will be taking off for a few days camping Yeah! I am so excited to get out of the house it's scary. November 5 will be a year since I went in for pain relief surgery and came out more messed up than I went in! I haven't worked since November 4th. Overall I miss work, I miss what I used to do. For the longest time I gave up that we could go back to homesteading. Even my husband dispared of moving back to our cabin in the woods. Now, with the stronger pain medicine we think it might be doable, just with a few adjustments. Last thursday the doctor diagnosised my legs as RSD spreading. I was very sad and depressed about that, but then decided it didn't matter. It's the same therapy, same treatment no matter where it is in my body. I wouldn't have wished for it to travel to all my extremities, but well don't really have a choice in that. I figure I am blessed, things could be so much worse. Atleast I can still walk, still fight the pain and use my arms and legs so hey- I 'm doing great. I am still moving around and doing things, still loving laughing and living and that's something to celebrate and be grateful for. Hey I'm even camping for the second time this summer, something I never thought I would do again. Things are looking up, not down. I realized it's all in how I look at things, and how I react to it that makes the difference. I am trying to do as the doctor ask and up my pain medicine but my body just itsn't handling it well. Like everything else I have tried it causes more problems than it helps. I have been vomitting for two nights now, and finally feel better. I ask the pharmacist for help and he got me some stuff for travel sickness that is working wonderful for the nausea and vomitting. The up side to being sick is I am finally loosing some of the weight that neurontin helped me gain. I still have no appetite and have to force myself to eat something, but yesterday I teased my husband atleast right now I'm a cheap date, all I want is something to cool to drink! He worries because I don't eat very much, but I'm okay. Hopefully next week I will start the pool therapy so I can work on walking right again. Right now it kind of mince/limp/shuffle because of the pain in my knees and feet. I feel like I am a old lady not in my prime years!lol. Next week my youngest daughter starts school and I will miss her. She is great at working right along with me and doing silly things to get me to laugh. Well, Hope everyone is doing okay, I will update this when I get back from camping. This time should go better my husband got a canapy for the back of the truck so I could sleep in there on the matress and not have to try to stand up from the matress in the tent. Something that didn't go well last time.
