Time in a bottle

Today would be our 2nd wedding anniversary. Who knew it would only last 11mths 1week. We chose the song Time in a bottle as our wedding song. Not because it was our favorite but because it described our love to a T. One night we were listening to music and when we heard this song we knew it was the one. People thought we were nuts. This song was so old and there were so many newer and more beautiful love songs. I am so glad we picked it. It means more now than it ever did. The words say what I am feeling evey minute of every day.  If I could save time in a bottleThe first thing that Id like to doIs to save every dayTill eternity passes awayJust to spend them with youIf I could make days last foreverIf words could make wishes come trueId save every day like a treasure and then,Again, I would spend them with youBut there never seems to be enough timeTo do the things you want to doOnce you find themIve looked around enough to knowThat youre the one I want to goThrough time withIf I had a box just for wishesAnd dreams that had never come trueThe box would be emptyExcept for the memoryOf how they were answered by youBut there never seems to be enough timeTo do the things you want to doOnce you find themIve looked around enough to knowThat youre the one I want to goThrough time with

Lori, I love this song. You should have heard the music at my son Paul\'s memorial. Steven\'s will be equally interesting. We will Play Led Zeplin\'s \"Stairway To Heaven.\" That was Steven\'s favorite band of all time. We played it at Paul\'s service to. Along with an Alice in Chains song Called \"Don\'t Follow.\" I also played A Cat Steven\'s song called \"Morning Has Broken.\" at Pauls. It is not even ad or about death. It was an old hymn originally. I lke what you choose and it sounds like you had a wonderful marriage and reltionship. You did good girl! I think it will be a hard day. I have lost sons not my husband, so I do not understand the loss of your love. I have my true love and we are coming up on 20 years together married, and we knew each other about 9 yr. before that. I would not have made it through loosing 2 sons, and having breast cancer without him. I would be lost. I would be insain. So my thoughts and prayers are truely with you. I am so sorry for your pain. Love,Peggy

Lori, I\'m holding you on this day and wishing you nothing but good memories... Now I have to show my age...(lol) \"Time in a Bottle\" was a song that Jeff and I \"fell in love to\" - at the risk of giving TMI, I could tell you stories about it and other Jim Croce songs that were playing during pivotal events in our courtship and early marriage...but I\'ll spare you that...Thank you for sharing it again with me and making me smile with all the fond memories it invokes...xxoxoxx, Susan

Here for you, our 30th anniversary is July 1, this coming Tuesday. I heard the song we had played one day and we felt the same as your \"Time in a Bottle\". That song has always been a favorite. \"Always and Forever\" by Luther Vandross is the song we had, and whenever we\'d hear it on the radio we would dance :) . It seems to come on the radio at times when I\'m really low or stressing about something. Almost as a message from Ted that he\'s there. Love, Cindy
