Time for an update
Well well well, lots and nothing been happening. Mainly work, but the pressure is now off. The residents have all been moved to the new facility and all the nursing staff have gone too. There are 3 of us left in the office and one on holidays, doing all the packing up and sorting. Well, I'm not doing much packing I can tell you, but I have plenty of other stuff to be doing. Seems really really weird though..... to think when I started back in December I was working in a hospital with a nursing home attached and now both are closed. Ah well, on to better things I hope. Clint's new job is going really well and he's jsut bought a new car, so he's a happy camper. Rick is still working lots, but the poor kid had a nasty dose of food poisoning on Friday night and for the first time in over 12 months, was home on a Saturday night with his mum.Dale, ahhh my darling Dale.... he has finally got a job - yeee haa!!!!! Week two coming up and he's still with his new girlfriend too - things are looking better and better.I'm almost scared to believe things are going so well. Definitely don't want to jinx either the boys or myself ;) I actually did some tidying up this weekend, I could write my name in the dust, so it was about time. I also caught up with a friend on Saturday, before she leaves on an 8 week overseas trip, and had coffee with a friend I haven't seen for a while today. I was planning on doing a whole heap of reading to prepare some stuff for work, but it just didn't happen, and I'm not stressed about it. I did write an objection to a planning permit application for a set of four x two-storey units on 1 block of land - all the adjoining neighbours are set against it. It's just too too much. I also did some shopping to prepare for the start of "the diet" - I am eating my last block of chocolate as I write - I think I'm in the right place to get started. My visit to the GP this week came back with some good news.... thyroid, glucose, kidney and liver functions, and triglicerides are all good - so that's a relief. My BP is still up high, but has reduced slightly. I stopped the Celebrex cos I'm sure that was contributing, and I've decided to come off the Efexor. I know it has to be really slow, but I don't think it will take too long. I'm so pleased to be getting off them. My cholestoral is up though, damn it. So that's another reason to get on the diet. I'm having rotten trouble with rashes on and off, and I got the doc to have another look at a couple of spots on my stomach that just won't go away. How is a girl supposed to even consider a relationship with someone when she's got weird spots?????Anyway, she thinks it maybe a staph infection, cos I get them under my arms from time to time, so I'm on an antibacterial body wash, antibiotics, and some antibceterial cream for a week or two - I really hope this clears them up once and for all. Gross - sorry friends. Anyway, that's probably about all that's been happening at the moment, so you're all caught up for now. Cheers
