Time flies!
I just can't believe how long it has been since I wrote in this journal! So to update: I have not yet made it to any grief support groups. Oddly every time I schedule to go, something happens to keep me from it. Anyhow once again I am scheduled for the 24th day of this month. So we'll see if fate does anything this time.
Now to report on my epic dealings with my left foot. A year or so ago I began going to the foot doctor. I had a swollen bursa on the bottom of my heel and got a shot. There was still a problem and the doc said I had Plantar Fasciitis.
Next I began yoga and hurt my ankle. But I couldn't get to the doc because I had cataract surgery on April Fool's day. Recovered from that and had the other eye done early May. Then I got to the foot doc. MRI found I'd torn my Achilles tendon. Got to wear a "boot" for six weeks and now a brace until mid-September. The the bottom of my foot got sore again. It was the bursa and I got another shot.
That gets me up to this week. Three days ago my big toe (on which the ingrown toenail had been trimmed in June) turned red and swelled up. Back to the doc. He surgically removed the big toe nail. He put me on antibiotics. I am an insulin dependant diabetic and was in a panic with memories of my mother's amputation and miserable last years of her life.
So here I sit in my recliner with my poor foot up and laptop on my lap, touching base with all my good online friends. Lov you and miss you (((HUGS)))
