Thursday Wedding
So as we (stbx and I) went to my nieces wedding together,which even tho it was on a thursday turned out to be an excellant event,the food OMG!! the food was amazing everything from the appetizers to the salad to the main meal was fantastic.
Kathy(my niece) looked amazing in her gown,after 2 years of planning this event i think it went off without a hitch personally.
I had decided that with everything going on with me and him,that I was gonna have a good time and screw him(basically he just drove) and other than sitting at the table to have dinner,i didn't see much of him till we left.
I am shy,and i figured i need to break a little out of my shyness and just be myself,hey you either like it or you dont plain and simple.....so at the appetizer hour I made sure(with drink in hand of course),that i go around and meet up with some people i have not seen in awhile(family and friends included),it was great i sat i chatted I relaxed,some asked where stbx was i said he was around chatting with others....Now you have to understand any other time when people would ask where he was i would say i dont know and go and look for him............I did NOT do that this time,just continued on with conversation...its a small victory i know,but for me its a pat on the back to me,for standing my ground.
People were impressed as i heard from several different people that i have changed,to which i jokingly replied gee i hope for the better,they all said yes for the better(another pat on back for me),so I danced,I drank(not to excess),and I chatted and ate....
In the car on the way home he says to me other than dinner I didn't see you all night where were you?? I said I was around chatting,he just looked at me with that stare of you never do that,hey you know stare all you want buddy boy i thought,cuz your time is coming to a close very soon....
Moral of this story....Step out of your comfort zone even for a few hrs and see what happens,I did last night,and I feel great today,why? Because i decided to take care of me first.......and maybe thats all i needed to do in the 1st place..Will have to keep doing this.
