Well here I am, 11 months after shock day and I'm in my new house, with a new man in my life and so many wonderful things going on.
The move has been crazy. Trying to sort out 20 years worth of stuff and figure out what to take and what to leave. The most overwhelming part is now trying to figure out where to put everything in the new place. It's wonderful having my own place now with everything just the way I want it. Dogs are adjusting nicely and I will too once everything settles down.
Still seeing Rich -- it's been about 2 months now and just keeps getting better and better. He is kind, sweet, funny, smart, handsome, considerate and respectful almost to a fault. I'm not used to being treated so well and having someone else actually put me first. He's actually licked my tears. I am learning to deal with tenderness. Never had it before.
Leaving for L.A. Saturday to move a very good friend back to the Buffalo area. It will be 3 of us driving cross country in a Ford Focus. Should be quite the trip.
