thundering outside//manx kitten is having bowel issues//whip its????!!

tried to play games and was successful with two groups and couldn't get it to post on the other two groups.  wth?  seems that every year something like this is going on with ds.
its overcast and weird out.  the sky looks like tornadoes, which in florida there is nowhere to hide if that happens.  no basements here.  rn is having trouble with the manx kitten.  manx breed has bowel troubles, they are known for it.  hope its okay.  i printed a bunch of info on it.
the new employee is back and i told her she is on a re-train (already).  this one is not paid.  she is a piece of work so far.  the other day, she was going on how someone "bought her" whipped cream, they must know she loves whipped cream.  how would anyone know this, she is new and its not her's.  i'm actually the one that bought it and its for my ice cream.  an office fridge is not a free for all for food for others and why would ANYONE think it is?  wth?  another jerk with boundary issues.  if you didn't buy it, its not your's.   don't touch it.  so i asked her how it went (her day) and she smiles and says she did "whip its" all day.  and i'm like what?  then she says, she must still be high.  and i'm like what?  they drug screen here...so verrrrry strange.  so she says you never heard of whip its, and i'm like no.  she seems confused and frowns.  (how did this girl pass any state tests, she doesn't last ANYWHERE she works for more than two months and was a housewife for ten years.   i think they get a tax write off for taking housewives just like they do if they take minorities.    i go to get my whipped cream later and there is nothing left.

then she is going on laughing and everyone is like WHAT?  she says that without the nitrus the whipped cream comes out in a big blob and her kids love that.  and i'm like what the hell are you talking about?   so, then she starts explaining how she does whip its, as though she is 14 or 16 years of age and this is a normal thing you say to your co-workers when even as a teenager, you really don't talk to people you barely know like that.  my guess would be the only people she converses with normall are people who party with her.  she has no sense of decorum or boundaries and since she isn't getting enough done, my guess is, she hasn't figured out yet, that when you go to work, you are supposed to work.  what the hell does she think they are paying her for?

so great.  now we have a schizophrenic man working here who could easily lose it at any time if he doesn't take his meds or a proper dose of his meds,  and this new whip it woman (she is 35 and acts like this?).  she is still within the time frame for fire for no reason but has to be replaced first.  i'm just amazed.  i don't think she quite gets that i'm her boss.  or she goes on talking around me because there aren't a lot of women here?  haven't figured any of this out and probably never will i'm not good with bad workers, i never was.   the only thing she has down is to get to work on time, which could save her, but if her idea of "working" is to look for ways to get stoned.  she is out the door.

amazing.  have no plans right now.  haven't found any good deals for tile.   the asshole that wakes me up all the time is still doing that, doesn't matter which bedroom i sleep in.  wondering how that is.  and she is always having the same conversation.  weirdo.  have been having heavy rain.  lighteninig and thunder.  not a good day to to outside.  saw the movie john carter last week.  nothing great.  a lot of special effects.  bet it still made money.  i'm inching more and more toward doing closed captioning for cr work.  if its all old movie captioning, it will be like getting paid for something i would do for fun anyway.  and its high pay.  so why not.

gave ch another box of books for his kids (and his girlfriend, who like me, also reads them herself).  gave him the entire series 13 books of "a series of unfortunate events".  when i went into that closet to go through books, i found two more junie b's that i didn't have in her series.  yay!  so fun.  and i found the book "the borrowers" and ballet shoes, both of which were missing.  still reading fairy tale interrupted.  its good.  i may order it.   i also realized the reason i think the kids prefer the aunt sue that drives me bananas over the aunt sue that is accomplished but has other issues, is because the one that drives me bananas is kind of like an amelia bedaglia.  i can't believe they go for that.  she bitches all the time, you can't trust her at all.  back stabber.  but she also does a lot of moronic things, like leaving doors open and letting people in that aren't allowed in etc. and for some reason they think this is funny.  to me its just dangerous.  one of these days i'll address the aunt sue in suisa and the stuff from her daughter, amazing even after all these years, i still haven't really delved into it or checked it.  which is probably wrong as well.  grand avoider of all time.  that would be me.

Whip its, I think, are when you eat the whipped cream right out of the can. You spray it right into your mouth. Be glad she ate all your whipped cream, because it\'s not a very sanitary thing to do with a shared can! I think the only high you can get off of them is a sugar high, but I could be wrong.

I can\'t keep track of all the people in your life, so that\'s about all I can contribute here. Sorry I haven\'t been keeping up! I\'ll try to be better! *HUGS*

Whip its!! OH, I had a teenage girl! There\'s nitrous oxide in the can. If you DO NOT shake the whip cream can and just hold it upright, then turn the nozzle sideways....nitrous oxide will come out of the nozzle. One can get good and snockered on that gas and act pretty stupid. It was a very common thing to do back when I was in my twenties. I haven\'t heard of anybody doing that in the last ten years. Jeepers. Watch this person. This is still using drugs! The fact that she may have eaten your whipped cream as well, just makes her that much more of a nuisance!

Jeepers, 38.....this journal made me smile. Between the whip it queen and the schizophrenic with the meds problem, I can see where you might have your hands full. Good thing you live in Florida where you can go out for a few minutes into the fresh air and sunshine.....just to feel like a normal person for ten minutes. Jeepers! xo

okay I had to look up what \"whip its\" is. Here is what i found.

:Theyre cheap, fun, and increasingly popular. They can also give you frostbite on your face or even kill you. Winston Ross on the whip-it frenzy.
If youve ever gotten home from the grocery store with a can of whipped cream that doesnt work, youre at least one degree of separation from an old method of drug abuse thats gaining new momentum. Powering that whipped cream can is a small dose of nitrous oxide, which escapists young and old long ago figured out can get them high, provided they suck right from the spout before shaking the can.

Theyre called whip-its, whippets, whipits or whippits, and while there may be no universally agreed upon spelling, no one seems to dispute that abuse of the drug has been surging in recent years. The L.A. County sheriffs recent crackdown on the use of nitrous oxide as a party drug comes after a crackdown in California, with arrests at more than 350 illegal parties where noz was being sold. Fatal car accidents, rapes, and teen deaths have all recently been attributed to the drug.So whats a whip-it?

Hippie crack. Thats one of several slang terms for the stuff, which can be sold by the individual canister or by an entire tank. Theyre perfectly legal to purchasethough illegal in many states if you plan to use them as a recreational drugwhich is why theyre regulated by the Food and Drug administration, and not the Drug Enforcement Agency. As a drug, nitrous is among many forms of inhalants, including solvents and gasoline, that people use to alter the mind.

Part euphoria, part hypoxia. Like a lot of drugs, whip-its arent good for you. They can cause hearing loss, liver and kidney damage, limb spasms, central nervous system or brain damage, bone marrow damage, heart failure, and suffocation. Theres even a syndrome called Sudden sniffing death, which is too terrifying to think about.

They can freeze your face, with a result thats very similar to frostbite, Harvey Weiss, director of the National Inhalant Prevention Coalition, told The Daily Beast.Young people love them. In 2011, 719,000 people aged 12 or older reported using inhalants for the first time within the prior 12 months, a spokesman for the National Institute on Drug Abuse told The Daily Beast. Most of those users were under age 18 when they first tried whip-its. The average age at first use was 16. Theyre often sold in balloons at rock concerts. Its widely available, easy to use and easy to conceal, Weiss said. People can just go to 7-11 and get high in the aisles.

Old(er) people love them, too. When Demi Moore was hospitalized last year, friends told TMZ she had seizure-like symptoms brought on by doing whip-its. And recent national surveys have ranked nitrous as one of the most popular drugs among people aged 17 and older, Weiss said.

This aint your dentists office drug. Whip-its arent quite the same as what you get at the dentists office, because the dentist carefully controls the amount of oxygen mixed in with the nitrous to make sure its safe. That said, many states dental associations have been forced to establish treatment programs for dentists and hygienists who have found themselves hooked on the substance, Weiss said. (article by Winston Ross)

Totally inappropriate of this woman to go to work high and talking about it. Must be affecting her brain. Good grief.

Your weather sounds a tad bit concerning 38lbs. Hope the kitten is going to be okay. Mine, ferals are all doing good. & greenies

You are right Darla. it is the nitrous and it is back for the passed ten years or so. There is an article on it from Nightline. the druggies use it because its not detectable, so that is why it didn\'t show up on her drug report. they only want the nitrous from the cannister, they don\'t want the whipped cream at all. this girl is such a disaster, i think she thought the whipped cream was bought for the nitrous and not for food. and she is serious. wth? its like she\'s from another planet.

i knew people in dental schools who used the nitrous all the time and thought it was HILARIOUS that they did this. but they are twenty-something years old. not 35 and not at work. i\'m amazed!

There is growing concern among health professionals that Whip-Its -- small canisters filled with nitrous oxide that can be used as a recreational drug and were reportedly used by actress Demi Moore shortly before she was rushed to the hospital in January -- are making a comeback among teenagers and young adults across the country.

\"What makes them really popular is they\'re easily accessible,\" said William Oswald, founder of the Summit Malibu drug treatment center. \"You can get them at a head shop, you can get it out of a whipped cream bottle.\"

Watch the full story on \"Nightline\" (2012).

The most recent figures show that Whip-Its have become the most popular recreational inhalant of choice, with over 12 million users in the U.S. who have tried it at least once, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Inhaling the compressed gas, either from the Whip-It chargers, a whipped cream canister, or a nitrous tank, is purported to result in a fleeting high, lasting anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.

And while some states have passed laws attempting to stop the inhalation of nitrous, experts say the use of Whip-Its is mostly ignored by authorities and left unregulated.

\"It\'s non-detectable,\" said Oswald. \"So when they\'re testing people, it doesn\'t show.\"

An ABC News investigation airing tonight on \"Nightline\" found that multiple online retailers allowed large purchases of the Whip-Its, with no questions asked about age or what they would be used for. A tobacco shop selling the canisters alongside cigars and rolling papers insisted they were cooking supplies, but then immediately removed all boxes from the shelves when confronted with ABC News cameras.

knee you must have been posting as i was looking it up as well. its WORSE than that, she is taking the whipped cream in the fridge at work and when no one is around, she is SNORTING it. its not even her\'s. it is so gross i don\'t want to think about it. she seemed to think that whoever bought it, bought it for the nitrous and not for a topping on their dessert. that is how far gone this person is. thanks for the article. its better than the article i found.
