Through Zaileigh"s Eyes.

I marked this entry as sad but it is also inspiring. One of the most brave, beautiful, loving, strong and wonderful people I will ever know is a student of mine Zaileigh. When I first met Zaileigh she was this bubbly funny giggly little 6 yr old girl. Her laugh could get all of us rolling on the floor. About 9 months ago Zaileigh was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We started to see her struggle in school as her medications made it to hard for her to join in and the pain was becoming to much for her to bare. We had a big fundraiser for her and her family to help with some of the medical bills. Her friends and teachers love her so very much. Zaileigh keeps on fighting and determined to prove all the doctor's wrong. I have never seen so much soul and spirit and strength come from such a tiny body.
Through Zaileigh's eyes I have seen what it means to really suffer and be in pain but not let it stop you. Over the past 7 months I have been convinced that the pain of my husband leaving is so unbearable at times. I see through Zaileigh's eyes and the eyes of her mommy as she holds Zaileigh's hands and rubs her head and whispers to her " It's ok Zailiegh mommy will be ok you can let go now and have no more pain" Mt little Zailegh has taught me so much about being brave and no that all of us should keep fighting for life no matter how bad it gets. She also taught me to hold my son more and tell him how much I love him everyday. Thank you God for giving me healthy children.
Zaileigh is on her last few hours here on earth but she will fly high above us. Everytime I see a rainbow high in the sky after a storm I will forever think of Zaileigh the little girl who became my teacher. Zaileigh you were a miracle her on earth and an angel in Heaven. On beautiful wings you will fly. I love you baby girl I was blessed to be your teacher. Thank you for teaching me what is really important in LIFE..........................................................................................
