Threats.
I just got a threat through my email from my old roommates. A couple weeks ago, they assalted me. I was burned, bruised, and beaten. All my stuff was at there apartments. I pressed charges on her. She was in jail for 2 days. About an hour ago, she threatend me saying she will find me and make my life a living hell. I don’t know what she is gonna do, but I don’t like it. She threatend my brother. It’s easy for her to find me. Her bf is in a gang. So they can track me down easily. I’m scared. He has been involved in multiple gun fights. I beilive they are going to torture me until I can’t take it. Or until I am dead.

I would definitely keep all correspondence available so that if/when you report it to the police, they can see. You have several options up to and including a no-contact order. It becomes a major issue for police if you have been threatened by harm or death. Secondly, perhaps a lesson here is saying to watch who/what circles you may come in contact with. I wish you safety and clear-headed decisions. If in imminent danger dial 911.
