Thoughts On the Meaning of Life and its Illusions

The World is an Illusion: Light tricks and speeding nowhere fast
Paraphrasing Albert Einstein, “The world is all one big illusion, although a very persistent one.” Rainbows and sunsets are optical illusions. Our sense of where we are in space and time is totally skewed. Example: If we are living on the upper far side of this giant ball called Earth, we should be viewing the world sideways and not horizontally flat as we perceive it.
I remember traveling cross-country on I-80 through Wyoming and to the south in the distance were large mountains that had cloud cover across the tops. It was quite scenic and beautiful and my daughter and I decided to stop and hike to that mountain, as it didn’t appear THAT far away. Well we walked maybe a ¼ mile and yet the distance didn’t appear to change. We weren’t getting any closer and that was puzzling to me. In reality that mountain was probably a good half or three quarters of a mile high, with a ceiling (lower cloud level) of around 4,000 feet or ¾’s of a mile high. With no visual references for the brain to decipher and compare to, the whole perspective is skewed. There was nothing but wide-open spaces and no trees whatsoever. I can only guess we were many miles away from it. The furthest we can see, given the curvature of the earth is 10 miles, so I’d guesstimate 7-8 miles from the road.
Now something even more complex that defies the odds is how do we meet up with friends and lovers in the ways we do? It would appear to be a cosmic crapshoot; that with the amount of human variations out there and we all like to stick with our own ways of doing things, to keep us in our own personal comfort zone; that we even come close to meeting up with someone we can live with and develop an intimate loving relationship.
Chaos CANNOT exist in a natural world, as over time it would collectively take over and accumulate and nothing would cease to function. You don’t have to believe in God or a higher being to figure that one out. I view the world as a spiritual learning lab for mankind.
In the cosmic fabric of the universe, it all depends on where you are in any given point in space and time, yet with everything being interconnected, eventually we’ll end up still achieving our goals and final destiny in this life span. In a very simple action, consider this. Imagine you’re riding a train going 60 mph and playing ping-pong on say a 7’ table. At 60 mph, you’re traveling 5280 feet per minute or 88 feet per second. Now if you’re hitting the ball back in the forward direction of the train, say it takes 2 seconds to travel less than 7 feet or 3 ½ feet per second, how FAR has the ball actually traveled? The correct answer is around 183 feet. It’s another distortion of time and space as we understand and perceive it and another illusion. In addition within this illusion, you have to consider the speed of the earth’s rotation and its ever-expanding distance speeding outward. I think that’s 38,000 MPH, but in any case we’re moving at a good clip.
Where ever we meet old friends and new ones depends again on being in the right place at the right time. It’s not by coincidence, everything happens for a reason. Whatever choices we make determine if we’re going to take the long or the short road to our destined destination in life, wherever that may lead to.
I like Einstein’s take on life. “God does not play dice with the universe” or “God may appear mean, but he’s not malicious.” His achievements in Physics far overshadowed his philosophical writings, which can stand on their own.
He also talked about, that just the mere act of observation of anything, changes the values you are attempting to quantify, so there’s “The Uncertainly Principle” meaning you can never accurately say with !00% certainty that what you are seeing and measuring is REAL!
What creates our ability to unintentionally alter all of those things around us, in particular other life forms such as plants and animals is our own individual electromagnetic force field. We take in energy from food, which in turn received it from the photons (a particle of energy) of the sun.   This is what creates an “aura” that some people are sensitive to seeing. Religion calls it a soul.
Taking it to the next step, we do and can attract through thought/mind action all those things we strive for in our lives and in particular the effects on other people we have yet to meet and have yearned for. In other words, we have the ability to attract our next potential relationship with the opposite camp by merely focusing upon it in our minds, in a relaxed atmosphere, to avoid distractions.
I believe we have “angels” to guide us, along with family and friends who have passed over before us and it is from this source in part, from which we’ll receive an idea or a nudge to take action in a particular sort of way. Call it intuition or divine guidance. I’ve learned through my own stubbornness, to definitely listen and follow what comes into my mind; even if it makes no logical sense to alter say my route while driving. I almost always end up with near misses or some idiot opens his door just as I’m approaching his parked car…Thank God for quick reflexes, that hasn’t changed with age.
So the bottom line to all these rhetorical writings is that if it’s meant to happen (successfully finding a new mate), than it will. In the meantime I’ll just stay tuned into what’s happening around me…
What got me started on writing this in the first place was to in my mind, put my life, women and relationships into some kind of positive perspective. Something I can cling to, have faith in and through logic and reasoning, give me some REAL tangible evidence and in turn comfort in knowing that finding a suitable mate is possible, despite the statistical odds. Show me the raw data; I want to see how broad your population sample is!
