I’m satisfied with my work when my heart is in it. It can be any range of projects from installing a custom cherry library to fixing a door.
When my heart is in it the work flows as though it’s being done by itself. And I don’t get tired no matter how physical it is.
Well, many people want to be fulfilled by their work. This is sort of a myth, most people work for the money. If we enjoy our work, that is a bonus. If we can work a job that uses our natural gifts, that is a bonus and we might not dislike that job!
So what I have always tried to do in paid jobs and in volunteer jobs is to help people, guide people. Not control or manipulate. I run a support group for people with estrangement as a volunteer and I am retire due to health issues. I get a lot from doing the teaching and then facilitating a discussion. I research and create a topic and then lead a discussion. It is a type of creating something good. But sometimes we get someone who just wants to vent mean stuff, which has to be controlled. So the plus is great, but this is the negative. Everything, every type of work has good and bad as I have learned in life. I don't get paid, but this is a job.
Maybe I should have punctuation in this sentence but I meant it in a generalized sense not necessarily work but about what approach you are going with your life or some decision that you've made. I like your answers though
Oh, I think then I would say that we have to really know ourselves and understand ourselves. This sometimes is hard work but necessary. So when I have a big decision to make, I think about a lot of things regarding the choice I have to make. Sometimes it takes acceptance and sometimes it takes energy to make it happen. Hugs to you.
