Those Pieces Fall Together
It's funny how I worry so much about money and when I will need to hit the IRA to replenish the checking and I was thinking this would be the time I'd have to dip into it.
But then..... I had income tax done and paid a fortune for H&R Block to do it. But I am getting a nice hefty amount so I am good a bit longer.
Then I got home and got a letter from SS and it seems now since my circumstances have changed, I will be receiving my checks on the 3rd. (Which is perfect because my rent comes out on the 4th.) Also they are n)ow paying for my part B.
I got the car inspected and it only cost $40. I also double checked (since the dentist postponed my cleaning) and they DO take my insurance. WOO-HOO!
I still have trouble doing alot and still have moments when I hurt like an SOB but I took the last few Tramadol and they helped. I also finally heard back from my rheumotologist and he's sending a new script. I also have another appt to go back to pain mgmt (I had seen them before
My place still looks like hell, but tomorrow I get to stay put and work on things, bit by bit Depression may suck, but getting out (nothing fun yet, just errands or appts, but still nice to be out in that fresh air.) Everyone mentions walking but right now that is so very hard for me. I do have to be more involved and dedicated to getting back to my pt routine. That will defintitely help with my mobility (Right now I am concerned since the GLOB of issues going on with me are effecting so many things) Hopefully any steps toward the end goal will help.

are you sure it said the third of every month or was it the third wed of every month....I get my checks on second Wednesday of every month and I have never seen SS say a date like 3rd of every month.....please reread your letter....
I am glad this good news came to us...it is good for you and gives us hope that good things are in store all over everywhere for all us.....

Like Bill, I get mine on the third Wednesday.
I need to make a list and get a bunch of chores done. I need to get the plumber out to my house but I have had so much going on, I haven't the time. On Friday, I did take care of some chores outside the house.
I can manage to get minor chores like cleaning the bathroom done because I schedule them each week. Always on Monday, the bathrooms get cleaned. But my list of Honey-Dos is somewhat hard for me to accomplish with my hip injury. I wish I had a handyman I could trust. We have a lot of scumbags around where I live and I see them lying on Nextdoor. And then I've had appointments every day or something to do every day and I don't have time to deal with them. My other issue is huge lack of trust for workers in my home. The plumbing company has been good though. Our last plumber really screwed us over and the last handyman was drinking on the job, smells like alcohol, and now has gone silent and doesn't seem to work anymore.
Take care, baby steps, don't beat yourself up. Do one small part of your house chore and then congratulate yourself. If you clean the toilet, let that be a great big thing you congratulation yourself over. Come back and do the sink. Same praise of yourself. This is what I do when I am struggling physically. The hardest part is getting up the momentum mentally and allowing myself to just do the toilet and then sit down, then go do the sink and sit down. That feels like I am "less-than" because I used to get it all done in 10 minutes you know?
Double checked my letter. Because they are now paying my part B premium I am included in new payment day of the 3rd of each month.
ok that was what I wanted you to do was double check it especially since you will be setting up auto pay on your account knowing how much you will have coming in....hugs and that is coming quickly....is there any back payment all at one time? those are nice...
It's already set on auto pay. They did say they would deposit the check for March's part D on the 26th of this month but they actually did it just a day after they put in my normal check (was the 2nd Wednesday) So I am anxious to see what happens this week.
