Those moments when you break down in public

This has been a sad week. I went to my first grader's parent/teacher conference and was so proud to learn how well he's doing. I informed his teacher about the changes at home and how I am a happy he's adjusting well, then out of nowhere the tears started. And this only gets worse when they offer support. That happened to me at work when I was receiving report. I just broke down and had to excuse myself. Other times I can talk about it without any issues, but I'm human, so I'm not going to get hung up over it. This too shall pass.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with breaking down and crying. I do it all the time. I just wished I was there so I could have given you a BIG hug!!!

Aww..I know that scene. It IS worse when you get sympathy from whoever you are bawling in front of. I have done it many times and damn ..still do. I think I used to get the most choked up thinking about how tough it was on my kids so if I talked to anyone about that the waterworks would start. Now I don\'t ever shed a tear over my ex-husband or my divorce, just my ex-boyfriend, at this point. Yes, you are right..this too shall pass. Hang in there. ((hugs)))

I\'m with you on this one today, I had my melt down today on the way to work, on the way to my counselors office at lunch and when I got back to the office and my boss asked how I was doing. Arggghhh, we need to come up with some kind of signal that lets everyone know that it\'s not a good day to ask or today is a good day to ask.
I\'m so tired of being sad over a situation I didn\'t want, didn\'t create and have no control over. You never know when the tears are going to come, some times for no apparent reason, just go with the flow and let em come. I find it interesting that some days you can handle anything, any question about your ex and then other days the mere thought of them triggers them. Just know you\'re not alone in your feelings and they are perfectly normal.
