This week on the farm

So Alexis made some comments about suicide that were really upsetting. However, I'm thankful she made them to me. I've had the chance to refocus on my reasons for leaving and to become even more determined to be strong and to heal my family. We've talked, we've cried, we've laughed and FINALLY talked about Theresa...which j has pretty much been the elephant in the room for the past four years. A negative became a chance for growth on all sides.
Work has been crazy this week, and the events have highlighted Tim's selfishness and his incredible sense of entitlement. It's frustrating, but in a way it's a blessing that he continues to show his true feelings and behaviors because it keeps me from second guessing my choice. Yesterday I got to work at 8:30a.m.. I got off at 8:45p.m.. I then had an hour's drive to get home, plus I had to stop at the grocery store to get something to make for dinner, come home and cook it. He gets off at 5:00, works literally 15 minutes from home, yet he goes to play with his toys at his shop when he gets off. I call him as I'm leaving, tell him I've had a bad day. He says, what do you expect you're the manager. What are you fixing for dinner. I tell him I'm stopping to get hot dogs, at which time he starts complaining about not wanting those. I tell him he could have gotten something since he knew I'd be at work late, and he tells me that's my job, not his. By the tune I fed the family it was almost 11. I then had to serve his ass in the bedroom, wait for him to finish eating, clean it up, take my shower...well I was like the walking dead.
Today I got off at 5, but after working all day I had to come home, change, take Alyssa to the library, and go to the grocery store to actually shop as I got paid today. By the time we finish, it's 8:30 and I know we still have to carry all this food up two flights of steps and put it away before I can even think about cooking. So I decide to stop at five guys to get burgers. I call to let him know and he literally starts whining that he already had five guys earlier and because I stopped to get food and will have to wait for it, now it's gonna be close to 10 before he gets to eat. Mind you, he was still out doing whatever it is he does when he's not home or working. Anyway, the girls and I carry up the groceries,I start preparing the oven for his dinner and I'm putting groceries away when he comes in with Chinese takeout for himself. He proceeds to sit it down on the counter and goes into the bedroom and lays down. SO I CAN SERVE HIM HIS F###ING DINNER!!!!!!
Lord, March 20 can not come soon enough!!!!!!!

Ok, what IS his job? It\'s not to provide for his family or to assist you in any way - seems like he has no job at all, not within the family at least. You provide for the family, you do all the work at home - life will be so much better when you are free.

Livin, I have actually asked him that very same question a few times--\"What IS your job?\" I get rewarded with a snide look, then he begins to rage that he is tired of me calling him a piece of shit (although NEVER have I said that to him--thought it a time or two, but never would I say that!) and he storms out. I just cannot wait until I can take care of just me and the kids. Having a grown toddler to take care of to is just too taxing!!:-)

:-) Yeah, my question was rhetorical. His job is to be king, of course. Blech, he can have that on his own, when you are gone. :-)
