This Was A Bad Week

This sure has been a bad week! When it comes to someone who has the ability to pick great girls, I must be at the bottom of the heap! Someone knocked at my door last Sunday. I opened it and saw a girl of thirty-five who I had not see in almost three years. I had thought she was either in jail or dead. I was partially right; she had served three five-month jail sentences. I met her four years ago, when I first moved into this apartment complex. While not exactly pretty, I found her to be somewhat attractive in both looks and personality. We soon became strictly platonic friends, although there were times when I felt she used her sexual prowess in order to use me. She was quite good at that. Unfortunately, we both shared the same vice - crack cocaine. We spent countless days and nights enjoying it with one another, mostly at my expense. When I saw her Sunday, she wanted three things; the use of my computer, phone, and food. Since I am no longer using crack cocaine, I tried maintaining a certain distance from her just in case she had not given up the drug use even though she said she was no longer using. I just plain did not believe her. She gave me a sad tale of being married for a year before divorcing her husband when he started beating her, in addition to getting someone else pregnant. She says she is homeless (her mother will not even talk with her), stays in homeless shelters and under bridges. As the day and night wore on, she finally asked if she could stay overnight. I said she could sleep on the couch. I also told her to turn out all the lights before going to sleep, which she did. During the night, I awoke to the sound of her taking a chair into my computer room. (She likes watching music videos on YouTube.) Later on she woke me up to say that she wanted to see some porn, but the web sites kept asking for a credit card. I said that was her problem. Monday morning she left before my CNAs got here. That was good news. She returned Wednesday night night. That was bad news. While here, she managed to lose all the sound on my computer. After seeing how angry I had become, she worked on the wiring until everything worked again. She left Thursay night. After she was gone, I discovered that the wires to my phone and DSL Connection had been broken. (I kept telling myself to breathe slowly.)  Friday morning, one of my CNAs let me use her call phone to call my sister in order to have her call the phone company for me. When no one had shown up by late afternoon, I knew that my sister had somehow gotten things screwed up. My dinner person let me use her phone to call my sister again. She listened to the conversation, and after we had disconnected, shook her head when we tried talking about my sister. She wound up calling the phone company herself. Everything was repaired early this morning. This afternoon, the girl called and asked if she could come over. I asked her what she had in mind. She said she wanted to get a backpack she had left here. I said if she came here, she could not use my computer or phone, and proceeded to tell her about the mess I had been going through. She asked if I thought she had caused the phone and computer problems. I told her I did not know, and asked what she thought. The only thing she said was that she would be over in a little bit. That was four hours ago.  She did nothing but make a bad week even worse. Sheesh! I hope she doesn't show up tonight.
