This & That and a Tuff Story
Well here I am.
Not doing too bad most of the time. I've worked forward & upward to overall health improvements. I feel I've started to make & keep some permament changes to the shape of my daily life but do any of you have times where all you can say is "the best laid plans of mice & men". Days just seem to come along where structure takes a vacation & you get on the hamster wheel again. I had thought I was ahead enough that & a few lets say active days wouldn't matter but lupus has other ideas. I've just come off of some more hectic days. I took my methotrexate injection Tues which is helping to rein things in but I've got some lupus rash issues that are rearing their heads & a few other minor tidbits. I could almost swear that my body is actually sayin it's just not too happy with me. Got to regroup & start a fresh I guess. At least I'm blessed with nothing too major happening & can rein things in hopefully easily.
Got back to yoga. It's amazing how actually happy my body feels after a yoga class. It's like it just gives this happy sigh of relief. It's a good class that ends with some crystal sound therapy & meditative chanting. Zumba(latin dance) will be starting again the middle of Sept. Boy after all summer & being sick can I ever feel how can I ever tell how the body has gotten sort of lazy. So it will be tough at first I think but good thing with all of us being 55+ our instructor so understands when you have to sit out a bit or have to alter your range of motion because of aches and/or pains.
OK, here is the Tuff Story bit.
Went to the cat shelter Wed a.m. The senior lady for that day had called me the day before to let me know she was not going to be in & could me & my partner pick up the slack & take care of the cats and kittens in the store front. It put an extra bit of work on us but of course I was pleased to tend to the darlings. We've got a good amt of kittens right now. I was tending to stuff & turned & noticed a small animal carrier where I'd not seen one before. I stopped & looked inside. There was a tiny, iddy biddy kitty. All by his lonesome. He's maybe 4 wks old. He had been left at the place in a box. He looks so fragile, so blank & lost somehow. Can anyone imagine how this little guy tugs at your heart strings. I opened the carrier & picked him up. He's just so blank somehow but there did seem to be something there when he felt he was being held. I noticed the whatever it was they had put in a dish for him. It looked like some sort of liquid soup, baby food type thing, yucky. So I went to the back & opened a can of shredded chicken food & mixed that in. It took a bit of coaxing but he did eat something. At one point the most senior lady called in to check on Tuff. She was concerned abt him eating. I told her what I had added to the bowl & that he did eat some & she seemed almost surprised. She's supposedly the senior & yet she can't seem to see that some liquid whatever in that bowl was not what was good for this matter. Maybe there's something wrong with me, who knows. Our vet was expecting him so I guess I won't know till next Wed how tiny Tuff is doing. He feels like a little china figurine somehow. I'm wondering if I shd bring my camera next wk & see if I can take a pic of tiny tuff.
I think thats abt it for now. Life is going on & I'm still only focusing on moving forward.
A warm thanks to my friends who take the time to read this. I so so love reading your thoughts & comments.

How great to hear from you Kitty! You\'re doing so well getting into a routine and moving forward! Keep focused....keep helping those wee kitties, keep yoga-ing!!! Yes, would love to see pictures! HUGS and love...xxoo
I sure love it when you write in your journal and I can read about you, one of my very favorite people in the world! Yes, you should take your camera and get a picture of that sweet little Tuff. He sure sounds precious! Hooray for the yoga! It is so great! Take care. Lots and lots of love, dear friend!
Hugs from Plump
Nice to hear that things are getting better. Glad you have a good focus and plan and are moving that way. The yoga sounds absolutely wonderful. I wish I had that in my life right now. Before I had my son, I used to do a quite intense yoga routine every day (from video, but then, I adapted several videos to a routine I memorized and loved) and I felt like I could conquer the world afterward. I am motivated now, thanks to you, to get back to that when my foot allows me. That is a wonderful goal to focus on during these bleak times. Thank you.
I would love to see a photo of Tuff. I think it is such a blessing that you are there for those frail creatures. God bless you!
I love when you journal Makes me fill a big part of your life. I do pray for you sweetie. May God heal your rash and lupus once and for all. Tiny little kitten tugged at my heart too. I do hope he makes it. You do have a special love for those cats that\'s for sure. I would love to see a photo of tiny tuff. Love that name.
Hugs, Frieda xoxo
