This & That
"It is necessary to try to surpass oneself always; this occupation ought to last as long as life." – Queen ChristinaSo, today I did something I consider just downright silly but not in that ha-ha way…more in the stupid silly. Have you ever had to tell someone something but you really didn’t wish to speak to them? Yeah…so you call them and the whole time their phone rings you are mumbling “go to voice mail, go to voice mail” Yeeeeaaahhh…I did that today. Nice huh? lol The person I was calling was my dad to tell him I graduated. I was so happy when I got his voice mail and not him that I did a little dance, cleared my throat and did the best telemarketer voice I could do. He has yet to call back which is fine by me. I just wanted him to have that information not hear him drone on about his dogs or my loser brother. In other news…I have been busy bringing the business back up to 100%! I am hoping within about a week I will have everything listed again, site redesigned, and cart ready to take orders. It feels like its going so slow and I have run into a lot of speed bumps but anytime I have to sit and wait for something I always make sure I am doing something else…like organizing paperwork, taking inventory, ordering more supplies etc. I have even developed a few new products including Bamboo Sugarcane scented brown sugar scrub hearts. Basically they are a sugar scrub wrapped in the lather of oatmeal soap. No muss no fuss for a gal on the go! Haha! I got the greatest compliment today. Husbands birthday was yesterday so I made a huge dish of eggplant parmesan with spaghetti on the side and all the fixins with it. Due to him being a type 2 diabetic we control his diabetes with strict diet and exercise so having that dish can be hard on him. Luckily I found some specialty pasta that is more fiber then carbs and it tastes great! He worked out several days in a row leading up to his birthday so he can have it. Needless to say he only gets this dish once in a blue moon so it’s a huge treat! Well, I packed him the left overs for lunch the next day with a little extra for the “sharks” that circle him while he eats every afternoon. (The sharks are the kids that eat in his room during lunch that often go crazy wondering what he is eating. Lol) Well, he passed out the extra to a few kids and they raved about it! They went as far as saying I should be a chef! That made me feel sooooo good! I hope everyone is well! ~Bright Blessings~Rea
