This Is My Story contd...

It's ironic that though I am an educated, professional journalist - I HATE to journal my personal life on a daily basis. I find it "just one more thing to do" and not therapeutic at all!! So this is merely a copy / paste from a Reply on Over The Fence Neighborhood & i am just getting around to recording it now!
7/25/2012 -Now, you good Neighbors tell me that you are glad I "found God" - That is true. I became aware of his living presence in my realm when I was 36 yrs old - 32 yrs ago! But to make a long story short - I'll only tell you what happened to me recently...
3 1/2 yrs ago, Father Luisi came to my apt to anoint mw with healing oil, lay hands on me, & pray for a healing. I had allowed a Catholic friend to bring him bec she was so concerned for me and I wanted to please her.
He anointed mt forehead with oil, laid a hand on my head & began to pray for me in tongues! Thios Pentecostal Protestant lit up with fire - I had operated in the hOly Spirit since 6 days after I was "saved"! ( At midnight no less - on Dec 31 - Jan 1 1980. )
At that time, I had suffered a stroke & was paralyzed on my right side for 8 hrs. And, having fallen out of bed just after onto a concrete floor I had herniated a disk as well. The stroke left me very dazed, weakened & unable to function on m,y own.
I had to have a care giver to feed me, bathe me, clothe me, feed me, bathe me, and clean for me. I could barely pick up my foot to get dressed, let alone put on my own shoe! And, I had to literally live in as recliner bec I couldn't straighten out my legs to get into bed!
After the priest,Father Luisi's visit, I continued to heal at a an abnormal pace. I subsequently attended other healing masses & am still healing today since having 6 surgeries in 2 1/2 years beginning in October 2011 ( 2 different herniated disk operations, a breast lumpectomy, vein stripping, esophageal hernia, and gastric bypss.).
I am still being healed from 5 aneurysms in my brain, hence the screen name: notdeadyet005. But I thank God also for my suffering which brings me that much closer to Jesus. Anytime something happens, be it grave or glorious, I simply say, "Thy will be done, Lord God" for we do not know His plan but He definitely has one for you also - Just ask!
After being influenced by the Mass & learning more about Catholicsm, I enrolled in the R.C.I.A. classes ( Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) to learn more about this Christ alive living in me! I converted to Catholicsm on April 7, 2012. Photo Gallery: Confirmation 4/7/1 http://www.dailystrength.org/people/545855/photos-videos
I was a Pentecostal Protetant - Now i am a Crusadin Catholic !!
In the New Testament, two blind men asked Jesus if He would heal them. First, He said, "Do you beileve that I can do this?" The men answered, "Yes." Jesus then said, "You shall be healed accordng to your faith," and they regained their sight.
Really. We must come as children, trusting in our belief. Just as in Santa Claus, Little children believe on someone else's authority. I am here to tell you, based on my own numerous healings - You need only to believe...
Now about this UTI, Lord ...

Hi NDY, my name is Lisa & I would be honored if you would be my friend. We share in the wonderful belief that God is loving& all forgiving. I think one if the hardest prayers to pray is the serenity prayer, when you recite the line \" Accept the things that I can not change & the courage to change the things I can\" I am not an alcoholic ( pls no offense to those that are as I know you fight every day & I have great respect for you & for the friends that I have that are.) I too pray lord let thy will be done, it is in your name that I surrender all my troubles to\". I have been laid up for 10+ yrs & am doing my best to keep on fighting. I admit the first yr& 1/2 off of work was wonderful & now I would give anything to go back to the job I lived which was in Training & development. But I believe God had & has his own schedule. It has taken me this long to figure out who I REALLY AM, and that is not always an easy thing to face. I am also catholic however I am unable to join a church in my community as I am divorced. Kind of ironic if your divorced you are unable to join, remarry or receive communion in the catholic church. Never mind about all those in the congregation that have commuted adultry, theft, murder, child molestation etc... It\'s sad I still go when able ( it is painful to sit in the pews) & I always go up to receive communion. I have asked God for forgiveness of my sins and as far as I am concerned he is the only one I need to answer to. I\'m sorry I have babbled on for so long but I was having a really, really tough day & came across your profile , again god always answers prayers when we need them, not as we WANT them. I would really like to get to know you better. I am facinated with the laying of the hands for healing as this is something I have wished for, for a long time. Again sorry this is long I was just excited to have a prayer answered on how to make it through another day, &. You did that for me.
Hugs & God Bless
Lisa
P.s. Sorry for typos & grammatical errors I typed this pretty quick :)
